After having the same wind noise issue, and researching online what has worked for others, I tried this exact same setup on my Hero 9 covering all the different mics. Sadly, I was still getting too much wind noise, for whatever reason, so I ended up having to go with the Media Mod and running the rear mic only. I'm glad that fixed my issue as I really didn't know what I was going to be able to do beyond that. Can't wait to see some more footage from that camera!
This is where the GoPro with the media mod has an advantage over the competition. This is a good fix though, same with the stick on cat hair type noise filters I used on my DJI camera. You may want to try the latest DJI camera sometime as well.
This is great. I can't believe I didn't think of this myself, lol. On my 2022 edition 360 the mic is on top, makes the wind noise even worse. I've been running a hacky remote mic and it's annoying - gonna do this hack right now.
It works great
I've been using one of those cheapo lapel microphones with the alligator clip. I tuck the extra wire under one of the cheek pads and clip the mic to the nose piece of the helmet. It's nice not to have to shout while talking on a ride and I think it still gives a good balance of some bike noise and no wind.

I had to do this on my DJI Action 4. I bought the wind slayer for it that you sit your whole camera inside, but the DJI has an optical white balance sensor in the logo below the lens that the foam covered. So I made a couple of small things like this to cover the mics but leave the sensor uncovered.

I have small pieces of dense black foam that are taped to the two mics with double sided tape. Hold well and have been on there for well over a year. That cuts down lots on wind noise.
