I am preparing for neet pg n got stuck in this chapter...never understood it well in ug too..after watching this when I started doing mcqs it was of great help ..thanks a million ton !
I was born with this on my both feets. Always causing frustration and depression.. 25 years later still hard to accept it.. ikr its not my faulth but its so easy to blame yourself.. anyway glad i saw this video, its time to try to heal
Harsh man 90% of the docs didn't know what the hell they were doing in the 60s when it came to clubbed feet look at dudley moore for example. Hope your doing cool 😎
Really awesome. The talus deformity was a grey zone to me. Even tuchjians dint clear this concept. But you did it in less than 10 min. Thank you very much. Thank you a lot.
Correction of club foot you start with fore foot varus correction, followed by dorsflecttion to streching of Achill tendon every after 2 weeks by p.o.p castting Then donning of knight splints
My sister was born with club foot, unequal height of the legs and size of the leg bothers her a lot and messes up her confidence. What do you recommend? Surgery or anything to help have the same height atleast.
My new born baby have clubfoot, tomorrow I have appointment with consultant. I am worried. Any expert can comment, weather clubfeet can be fully cured and normally take how long?
Hey man! I'm sorry about your baby's condition, it can be a difficult task to fix club-foot perfectly, not only because it needs medical intervention but personal work/physical therapy is needed! I know this because I was born with club-foot myself!..on both of my feet. I hope this testimony can help you as a guidance for your kid: Got the luck to get treated in Shriners Hospital in Los Angeles, CA. by Dr. Norman Otsuka back in 1999. I had 5 surgeries during my childhood, had to wear foot casts during long periods of time and recovering was a serious task with a lot of physiotherapy (which I personally didn't do properly). Now I am 22 y/o & I've dedicated my last few years to fix my equinovarus feet disorder, all I can say is that thanks to surgery I'm able to walk, run, jump, and do almost anything I want (physically). I am no doctor of physiotherapist, but I'm a club footer with a high interest on improving my physical condition, so I would give this tips to anybody involved directly or indirectly into club-feet and wants to make the best out of it: 1. Get treated professionally: Back in the day, surgery was needed to intervene with the condition, slightly cutting foot tendons to release proper foot length and form (The fix I personally had). Nowadays, there are some artifacts that make the club foot stretch and rearrange its form withouth surgery by putting feet into some straight aligned shoes which are attached onto a wooden plank. (There may be other options too!) 2. Get physiotherapy: If surgery was done, after recovering from the wounds, the muscles/bones/nerves/tendons involved need to get back into action and get proper healing. Get some Thera-Bands and promote feet/ankle/knee mobility by using them to stretch your feet on numerous ways. Massage or any other form of physical therapy throughout the club-footer's life really helps improving the feels on feet and general conditions. 3. Stretching: Get involved into stretching & stimulating your feet / lower body muscles, preferably since early years, like sports or activities that promote this kind of performance. (Yoga has helped me a lot to get over many symptoms and to fix related atrophied-muscles/joints). 4. Exercise: Last but not least, exercising is the key to a proper fix in my opinion, specially if done throughout childhood and adolescence years. Hitting the gym helps stimulating specific muscle groups: priorizing leg exercises and mobility routines will make a difference on lower body's strenght and endurance . Getting involved into sports is the most ideal option for this, specially if the club-footer is still a kid: track and field, football (soccer of course), skateboarding/skating/surfing, swimming, are perfect examples; almost any sport that involves the usage of the lower body muscle groups would be alright :) I personally realized too late that I needed to do this steps in order to fix my equinovarus feet. When I was younger I didn't care about rehab or exercising at all. My parents (and doctors!) helped as much as they could, but my negligence prevented us to make any further improvements on my condition. Until i was in Highschool, I started to develop consciousness about my condition because my calves and feet were (and still are) really odd-looking, being deformed, full of scars and smaller than other people's...by this time I began doing research and creating myself a journey as a club-footed athelete! Nowadays I practice surfing, skateboarding, trail-running, swimming, soccer, golf, tennis, gymnastics and calisthenics, and I haven't felt any better. Yes, my feet and legs are not the most attractive (big and toned) and they may never be, but at least I'm doing my best everyday to improve this physical challenge that was given to me by nature, and that I can proudly say I own. I hope this testimony helps others with the same condition, or even people who's trying to correct this phenomenom on a pacient or a loved one. Happy fix man! Don't forget to help your kid throughout his journey, encourage him to improve himself, always be there for him and normalize his condition among his family and friends. Good luck brother
