Such childish words to your beloved, Emmrich. "I will lose you to eternity. What if I can't bear it for eternity?" Have my handkerchief and wipe your tears. You shouldn't have become a lich in the first place then. As we say in our language, you are not a "stonewall that can protect me".
"I will let nothing part us again, my love. Not in this nor any other world." Okay, am I TRULY the only one who finds that statement alarming? I mean, kinda cute, but he is freaking immortal! Does he plan to turn her into a lich, too? cause the lich lords have a rather healthy and valid rules with the 'no exceptions at all cause how many until we become tyrants'
Thanks for this. I loved the Emmrich romance so much. I chose to save Manfred and that ending was amazing, but I did wonder how different the endings were. I admit, the whole Lich thing is pretty weird. I think in the end Emmrich was quite happy to save Manfred. Regarding the romance, the writers did give him some anxiety over his own mortality, but not over the fact that by dying he would be leaving you with the consequences of his decision. It felt kind of weird that the conversation over this never happened. He never thought to consider your opinion on his Lichdom? What would a romanced Rook feel about him just opting to be killed and turned into a Lich? It seems like that would be a pretty important conversation to have with a romantic partner.
I am sorry to bring it, but what the hell? In Divinity 2 you could romance a skeleton, and, well, it was done right. Fane goes on about how he is bones and feels no touch, nor warmth. There was another way to be intimate, and it was beautiful. Here, she just straightforwardly kisses a bare skull? Or even a helmet rather. Sick shite😂😂

I’m alarmed and aroused by the statement. I don’t think I’m fixable.

We complained about the romance options in DA2, and they just kept doubling down.
