Just to know lol The fight is centered around one guy. Everything happens to that one guy. If action leaves that one guy, you should not follow. Your eyes are to remain, on the one guy, that all the action is happening on.

Ali Rayan not really. Jacki Chan is not just popular due to his martial arts but also his acting. They may not be as good and they’re probably not as daring as he is. He does crazily stupid stunts they probably wouldn’t have even thought about and saying they’re better than him from one clip from a thing specifically around this ‘sport’ (don’t know what I would call it) doesn’t support you point.
You also say all martial arts scenes are edited but I think you forget, those are most likely not the actual stuff. That’s why even to this day, Bruce Lee and Jackie Chan’s films are so memorable due to their action scenes, which even if edited, makes it more enjoyable within context.

I did wushu in college. It's impressive what people can do, but I actually preferred shaolin style Kung fu or wing Chun. There they stress form, and speed only comes when form is perfected. Maybe it was the wushu school I went to, but maybe not. They won a lot of competitions, didn't stress form, and were all about speed. To me it seems showy rather than practical (the practicum was about showcasing a movement rather than power behind a kick or punch). That's fine, to each his own (it wasn't for me, especially after my coach told me I couldn't weight train because it made me stiff)
