This is definitely one of the interpretations Angelina's that most capture your soul and make you think, its slow, smoky, sweet, intimate tones, dig you in and make you lose your sense of time. Her voice is so emotional that it leaves you like driftwood on the beach after a storm, but it's also so sweet! It's just amazing how she understands the song's focal point and her ability to make it so understandable with a few simple notes on a piano and her voice in slow motion that makes this song magical.😧

I've heard this Chris Isaak 80's classic song covered many times. And you're right on when you say she has an amazing voice. But what she has done with this song is well beyond amazing. She slowed it way down, filled it with negative space, and sang it with an ache in her voice that few can duplicate. She sings it like she is being drawn into web with no hope of escape. I believe Angelina is 12 here, and the disconnect between her young age and the maturity of emotion is very hard to reconcile. For me, this is the most wonderful performance of this song that I have ever heard, including the original. And Sune's fabulous, haunting video enhances the beauty and depth of her performance---10+. Thank you for another good reaction to Angelina. I have listened to at least 6, possibly more, singers performing this song, including Chris Isaacs who wrote it, and Angelina is the ONLY one who understands that this is a song of obsessive love and can communicate to her listener the emotions of utter despair and abandonment, of the sense that there can be no reconciliation. If it was another young person singing this song, with the same level of emotion, I would have to ask: "How is it possible for one so young, with so little life experience, able to express such intense emotion?" When it is Angelina, however, the question is unnecessary, as she has the innate ability to recognise the true intent of a song and sing it as she feels it should be sung to reveal the full range of emotions in the lyrics.

Albert, no doubt it is a conundrum as to where Angelina gets her intense emotions for her songs. My guess is that it comes from her acute ear for music, her intense love of music and her overwhelming desire to sing the song as she feels it should be sung. Of course her unique voice helps a lot as well. Hopefully she has been writing original songs during this pandemic pause for live performances. I can't wait.

Bill Mecorney That is why I often wonder at those that state. She cannot possibly understand the meaning of the song as she does not have the life experiences. The reality is she reads and listens to the words and contemplates there meaning. Her empathy is beyond measuring. Her hart beak comes from understanding. At six she is giving her shoes away. At just turning eight she gives away her money. All you have to do is listen to the words written in her diary. What other six year old sees a doorway open in her hart and views a stairway into the light

I am an impatient person by nature. The slow roll of this song doesn't bother me. The piano and the talent remind of Norah Jones. AJ is an inventive and creative singer. People constantly say "wait, she is so young....". That is bs. She was born ready. My bet is plenty of older established singers would give their first born to have Angelina's talent just as it is........
