【粵語CC中字+ENG】摩登神探 (Modern Detective)｜廖偉雄(Liu Wai Hung)、鄭則仕(Kent Cheng)、阮佩珍(Pui-chun Yuen)、李燕燕(Li Yin Yin)：阿燦（廖偉雄飾）與肥則(鄭則仕飾)一對活貝警界立下不豐功偉績。但每次都是烏龍百出，錯有錯着之下破案的，一次因涉嫌收藏大陸的非法人蛇，倆人同被革除職務。二人於無意中得悉一名叫契爺的黑社會頭子，擄去一富翁的小孫，但倆人是被革退的警員，又怎樣去處理或能否撲滅契的犯罪集團呢！肥則為了娶阿芳（鄭麗芳飾）為妻，收留了從大陸偷渡過來的大姨媽及其女阿珍（阮佩玲飾）。阿燦愛上了賢淑可愛的阿珍，兩人很快墮入愛河。另一方面，犯罪集團主腦契爺（羅烈飾）及得力女助手阿JOE策劃一樁勒索案，但取贖金時險比警方捉拿。無計可施時，契爺捉走阿珍及阿芳來威脅阿燦及肥則替他們取贖金，並在他們身上裝了一遙控計時炸彈…
Ah Chaan and Fat Chug were good partners in the police Force. Both of them had been cops for some time and had helped in solving many criminal and civil csses despite their silly behaviour. They were soon promoted. Fat Chug seized the change and persuaded Ah Fong to marry him. However ,Ah Fong’s mother objected unless Fat Chug would provide a living space for her sister who had come from china. It so happened that Ah Fong’s aunt had also a daughter named Ah jane. Ah chaan was attracted by her charm and lovely personality and tried everything to please her. Though Ah jane was fond of him, she had hinted that she was anillegal refugee from china. Ah chaan could nothelp much. Finally , both Ah Jane and her family were sent back to china by the immigration officers. At the same time, both Ah chaan and Fat Chug were suspected by the police in sheltering illegal refugees. Their work was suspended. The suspension had resulted their being unfriendly towards each other. This ,however, lasted for a short time, for they became good friends again. They looked for themselves various jobs such as labour workers and tour guides. During this period of employment various funny things happened. Meantime, a dominant criminal had made a plot to kidnap a richman’s grand-daughter. He demaned a big ransom in order free the little girl. When his men went for the money, they were chased by the polic who had already known the plot.
Joe, who was the criminal’s assistant, had met Ah chaan and Fat Chug in the discotheque before. When she knew that Ah Chaan had applied Ah Jane to come legally to Hong Kong, she imitated Jane’s handwriting and sent him a letter. She told him that she was married and had a baby and asked him to forget her ,At the same time she sent her fellows to catch Jane at the railway station and threatened that she would not release Ah Jane if both Ah Chaan and Fat Chug did not get the ransom for them. Fearing that they might change their mind ,the gangsters put on them a ransom or would they help the police to capture the gangsters?
