The Turkish Grand Prix really helped to show how much the ‘driver’ factors in when the car is not the primary control, especially during the first stint. Congrats to Hamilton, Checo and Seb for their supreme drives that day!

I bursted a laugh when I saw him get hit second time , his bad luck this season is a curse or something
Well. The first bump was his mistake, but Bottas' dive was awful. Hope to see wet racing more often. Ocon always enjoys driving in wet conditions.

I know this is a joke, but it's worth noting that Valtteri had front wing damage and his steering wheel was going slightly to the side while going straight during all the race because of the first lap incident with Ocon
@@bubikial he was already spinning and sliding in the first lap doubt whether he would’ve done much better.
Was just about to post the same thing. SV leaps and bounds better. VB was stabbing the throttle all the way from his start box. Sure, these engines are torquey, but as MB said in commentary, the driver is in charge of the torque demand. Bit like 'that famous drift anime' where the fella has to learn there are more than 6 foot positions on the go pedal.

Funny that Ocon was so sure Bottas had hit him twice. The first time it was his own teammate, Ricciardo, that hit him. Bottas simply reacted too hard to the spin in front of him and spun out, too. The second time, Bottas had the overlap coming into the turn, and Ocon didn't see him and didn't leave him room.
Seb's onboard is a blessing to the eyes. Very colorful❤💛💚💙💜

Loved the race with the weather and sliding around. That was such an entertaining race to listen to and watch seeing the skill and proper tyre strategy. More like this out of season racing!

A merc not in the top ten, Lance in the lead, Max struggling and spins, Alex doing amazing and passing everybody, Ferarri's killing it in front, everybody spinning, Teams being stressed if they want to switch to slicks, Carlos doings amazing coming from the back, a masterclass of tyre management by Lewis and an amazing fight for 2nd place.

I have the utmost respect for all the drivers and I really feel heartbroken for the drivers who spin and damage their cars. I think F1 needs stronger cars that can withstand a bump or two, some of this contact is so tiny it's ridiculous.
Although there been merc dominance this year, there has been a lot more different podium finishers than in previous years. Last time there was this many, that was 2012 with 13

And Checo could have had 4th on lock if it wasn’t for the 2 races he missed and getting shafted at least 3 times due to poor strategy calls by RP. If only...
