I agree with you 100%. If Afrobeats fades away, I would blame the present leaders in this industry. They are making so much, but returning very little to the society. The likes of Don jazzy are even selling our assets, instead of planning big things like, how can we have our own worldclass streaming platforms, how can we have our music production software that cater for some Afrobeats needs. For example, if actually Burna is actually making 70m or 80m million as Paulo claimed, he should have a team going around the country searching for talents who have different sounds. If he budgets just $30m for the project, he will surely find another 5 Burna Boys. The sound is becoming monotonous, we need quick fresh air. Asake and Rema experimented some new sounds in their latest album, but it didn't turn out great. I won't discourage them from experimenting, but it's hard to evolve. We just need new set of talented boys who hear and understands music differently and have new sounds.
