From MS Stockholm to MS Azores

- Built in 1948 as Swedish American line's MS Stockholm , she was has served various operators over the years and was extensively. Rebuilt from the waterline up and emerged a virtually new ship as Italia Prima. She is now known as MS Azores of Portuscale Cruises .
She holds the record as the oldest ocean going passenger ship in the World still in service. In 2015 they changed her name to MV Astoria.
Ships and music were beautiful back then.

Thank you for an interesting video. You can hardly recognize the old ship "Stockholm". I don't know what to think about the strange aft part.
I think the strange thing in the aft is used to make her stable because maybe due to all those reffitings maybe it made top heavy and it would roll so maybe thats why its there is something odd about its aft
If you didn’t know any better, it’s hard to believe she’s the same ship that Accidentally Jackknifed the Andrea Doria and sank her.

And she’s still going Strong today.

She's laid up in London. I'm afraid it's a good bye to the old lady. Her destination no doubt is the scrapyard.
Update I found on Wikipedia: In July of this year, she has been bought by an American group which had also acquired the MV Funchal, a former fleetmate from when she was called ‘MS Athena’.
Too bad they blame the ship for colliding with Andrea Doria instead of blaming the crew members and calling it "The Ship Of Death"
A funny fact is that this ship was bought by an Italian company in 1989 and towed to Genoa, Andrea Doria's home port. It was there the press started to call her "the ship of death".
Doria's command was blamed for the tragedy. Swedish crew did all they could to avoid collision.
