That because the hp foot comes attached to the ankle. So we have to remove the quick release ankle(first one) to put on the hp foot, which Han an ankle built on to it (second one)

Thank you! When in doubt, the standard zig zag plate can be used for most applications, though results might be better with the proper plate.
