Boat tip: Instead of putting it in the pool I like filling the inside with water and marking where water leaks out on the hull side. I’m born and raised in Florida and a dagum k swapped budget airboat is some A1 Florida-Man content. I love to see it

Yeah either 1 of those NSX's are so attainable. Those connecting rods in the MR2 are in anyone's budget. The AWD train in the Civic,& Rowdessey he said himself are several thousand dollar upgrades. Billet bell housing for those sequential trans I'm sure they're giving those away. Guys are living with a bigger budget than most obviously.
@@Justaguy-pn4vn Spoiler alert custom cars cost money. While it might not be realistic for someone to have all of those at the same time, they don't do anything crazy like B is for Build or Rob dahm buying a 100K CNC machine. That billet bellhousing on his hatch is 3.3K it's not like unobtanium.

Mechanical engineer here, would suggest you run a bar from the rear mounts downwards to the diagonal bar. It'll provide better support and won't have a bending moment on the front mounts as a result, and should be much more stable.

Hell yeah. Can't wait to see more airboat footage. I used to have a 13ft fiberglass with a lycoming 0540 and I was running her hard. Like I always did.And my wooden 2 blade prop got compromised and came apart sent one half of it right through the haul ! The cage is there to protect the prop. It's not going to stop a chunk of blade. It's just a death missile if it comes apart. 🤘
Fun project! Can't wait to see the old twin turbo setup from the MR2 on this thing!😁 Just a heads up, you should never lift with 1 side of a 2 post lift. You should also never hang something under the legs but as long as you use both sides and it's not too heavy you'll be ok.
Really depends on the lift tbo, on a hydraulic lift with 2 rams yeah, sound advice, but on a screw lift no problemo, or a single ram with a link cable.they couldnt care less how unbalanced the load is. the lift in teh video is obviously hydraulic and due to being modern likely a 2 ram effort so yeah shouldn't unbalance it
Your prop is on BACKWARDS!!!! An easy tell is to look at the stickers on the blades as they will always face the front of the boat/aircraft. Love the build, have fun guys!

Idk I've seen some pretty nasty airboats with choppy v8s that have held up pretty good. However they were Certainly more high dollar machines used for the starting points than Kyle's little ditch pickle. Lol

Very cool project and can't wait to see it finished. I could be wrong on this but the flat side of the prop looks like its facing the front of the boat and the curved side is facing the rear. I believe the flat side should face the back and curved should be forward, maybe it just looks that way. Looking forward to seeing it progress.

@@SirVic42 Drews Airboat is not LS swapped. It was Built that way from the Factory. Just because it is LS powered does not mean it is Ls swapped. Most New Air Boats Built now Come with a LS in them from new.
Hey Kyle and Wyatt I lived in Haines City in Polk County and I used to have a nice airboat with a 427 stroker Prestige Motorsports Engine and it was so fast it would make my stomach sick it took off so quick lol but it was so fun. I can't wait to see you and Wyatt get this thing finished. If it was my airboat I would redo the actual prop cage surround. It would be a lot safer.

Well I can officially say that the boosted boiz have been an inspiration. I just turned 18 last month and decided to impulse buy a 1999 honda civic ex 5 speed. Picked her up for 250. Going to be a fun project but if it weren't for watching them I'm pretty sure i would've went v8🤣
Damn nice pick up man. If ur k swap have fun. Make sure u get a eg subframe and manual rack with the eg/integra universal for the steering shaft. The subframe will make the engine sit correctly with the axles. Have fun

I think you guys have got the blades in backwards. Turn them 180 degrees, if they are the wrong rotation you need the reverse blades!
