    You can turn off smooth shadows in render settings. And if you want smooth shadows for different objects just render them separetaly.

    I like your two videos that you just did and it was awesome and I am planning to use the watercolour shader that you just did in this video and I am also using texture painting to look like an illustration storybook style that I am going for of my upcoming animated short film and I am using Blender software and I can't not wait to see my trailer for next year!

    I now have a folder in my Asset Browser called Carlino EEVEE Shaders. It's a rare prestigious list of folder(s), so take pride in knowing that somewhere, some dude, has scribed you into the somewhat elite archive of some record... and that's some kind of cool.

    I'm fairly new to Blender and have been racking my brain over how to get a proper toon shader working as intended. This video has helped a lot with figuring these things out, thank you!

    interesting! I've manage to get a few of these looks it a very different way (though these seem lighter for blender as mine was more with colour mix nodes) will have to play with some of these workflows too!

    Very good video. One question: For all this information or for this video, you watched other videos in order to acquire fundamental basic knowledge about toon shaders in order to produce this video, right?

    I really like this video but i feel it´s kinda too advanced for me. I just started blender and i kept myself mostly on the modelling part so i didn´t even started with the node editor. I need a node tutorial 101 kinda thing.

    Is this kind of shader transferable to game engines such as Unity?

    • @marcowallao
      @marcowallao 13 днів тому

      I think not because the procedural textures and shaders can't be exported. But I believe that in some game engines there's a way to make the same effect

      Make sure you set the render to Evee. The Shader to RGB node will not be available if you have your render engine set to cycles.

  • @IGarrettI
    @IGarrettI 27 днів тому

    cycles version?

    • @JoeyC-quel

      shader to rgb is eevee only

    • @IGarrettI
      @IGarrettI 27 днів тому

      @@JoeyC-quel I'm asking do there's a version for cycles

    • @JoeyC-quel
      @JoeyC-quel  24 дні тому

      Not really. The ones that use the normal instead of shader to rgb will work on cycles, but you are better off using eevee for toon shaders. You don't need ray tracing for this stuff
