  • A canoe and kayak trip down a river that is designated as a wild river. There are only a few rivers that are protected from development. It is pretty much the same as it has been since the beginning of time. Join us as we journey 3 days, and two nights, on one of the most beautiful rivers. Paddling and camping and cooking on the open fire. It doesn't get bet than this!

      It wasn't as good as it looked. I have been enjoying your videos. Good stuff! I haven't commented lately because google change my Chanell name when I do. To "Backpacking with a hammock". Trying to figure that one out.

    WOW, paddling on a "wild river", didn't think something like that existed. The weather and scenery looked beautiful and all of you had such a great time. BTW: Let your son know that I've added stainless steel chop sticks to my cooking kit...turns out to be quite the multifunctional tool around camp. Thanks Zak.

    I see Zac had the best spot again right next to the river! I love how he got himself wet in the river carrying that log and using the tarp to keep that wood dry. Nice eagle hanging out with you guys...

    Please offer viewers to go w/ you on a trip….not thousands of $$ like some UA-camrs. My brother & I did a 10 trip down the Suwannee River in Florida & a friend joined us for 2 days. The trip my brother & shared will always be special & we plan to do more now that I’ve just retired. He has a few more years of working
    I’m still watching video 😮The eagles!!!!

    Love the Namekagon! I did a section solo last fall. I was really impressed with the quality of some of the campsites and certain areas are very wild and challenging. It is legit. If you ever need to borrow a canoe (and leave the kayaks behind), you are welcome to mine. I also have a two-place canoe trailer and - I am right down the road!

      Is your canoe Royalex? ( plastic ). And if you and you family want to ever use our kayaks ( I have 4 ) for and trip or for a day on the Willow, to adventure up to the waterfall and back. Please let me know. I hope to see you with Danny at the Wisconsin Frozen Butt Hang.

    My husband and I have this debate when we go camping. Cook over flame or cook over hot embers. I prefer flame, he prefers embers. I bet Henry wishes he had went with you.

    • @AdventureswiththeMarine
      @AdventureswiththeMarine  10 місяців тому

      Embers always gives you and even heat. Easier to cook with. And plus no suit on the bottom of the pot. Tell your husband to get you out camping. My brother just bought an old outfitters house on that river we where on. If you and your husband are interested in something like that. He would provide a shuttle and a bunkhouse on the first and last day. No cost. It is one of the last wild river in the U.S.

    What a blessed time. Wish I had a chance to go camping more often but this year was a hard one for camping for us. Praying next year will give us more camping time. So nice to see you all enjoying each other. My husband asked me "why are so many camping videos more about food and eating than the actual camping?" I had no answer. Other than to show him one of our videos where I speed lapsed toasting a marshmallow. I often ask why so many people cook where they are camping when we are advised we should never do that. Honestly, I cook where I camp too, but the bear experts say you shouldnt.

      In the Bible. When people got together. It was always around food. That is a big part of fellowship and where conversations are at it's best. There is nothing like cooking on a open fire. Especially with people you love.
