Well, If you live in the PH it will be way easier for you to go. Take a plane to Cebu from Manila (if you are from Manila area). We flew straight in from the States to Cebu and then plane to Siargao. But, I believe there is a direct flight now that the airlines offer that go straight to Siargao so you are lucky if you choose to go (1 less flight ) Once at Siargao there is a nearby town up the road that has a ferry for all the local people from nearby islands. You will take this Ferry to Dapa then the resort people pick you up on a boat from there to take you to Club Tara Resort (Where I took the Drone videos). I can recommend using a guy named Mike that lives in the area of Siargao that can bike you to any of the local resorts like Cloud 9 and even to the dock (in Siargao). He was great and is local (most people should know who you are talking about) He has a brother that is a preacher and does island tours as well if I remember correctly. As far as the resort goes I didn't list the name until now due to them pissing me off. We paid for them to drop us back off at the port that we first took the ferry at and the boat guy took us to the WRONG DOCK and basically said, "tough luck I have other things that the boss lady wants me to do." Boss lady is younger Filipina married to an older Japanese fella that own and run Club Tara Resort. So, we then had to find a random guy and haggle/negotiate fee to take us to the RIGHT port. We barely made the ferry (only 2 a day?) and barely made our flight back to Manila. The resort is pretty run down as you can find out in reviews.(BRING BUG SPRAY!!!) My wife and I aren't picky and understand its hard to maintain an island resort so far away from literally everything. I was happy with the service, food, even had spotty Wi-Fi WAY out there, boat service to see jellyfish, et cetera. I was only let down at the end. I contacted the girl and she downplayed and said she would ask her worker what happened. I never got a refund or heard an apology from her. Horrible. Anyways, most people just stop by there and don't stay the night. That may work better for you guys? Oh, and side note: my wife is from the PH and is fluent in Tagalog and understands spoken Visayan so it was not a language barrier that made them drop us off at the wrong port. The guy apparently just didn't listen to us or didn't care. So to recap: Manila to Siargao (stayed near cloud 9 resort to rest up and found Mike our driver. Driver then drove us/arranged to drop us at Ferry to take us to Dapa dock to Club Tara Resort. The Ferry dock is very local and not touristy with walls of San Miguel plastic bins that are a make-shift gateway to ferry dock. This is how you will know you are at the right dock. The ferry runs LIMITED times per day so make sure you leave enough time so you don't miss your boat and/or plane. Sorry for the long reply. I hope this helps you.
Steffy Laugh Correct Steffy, when we went we had to fly into Cebu from the states rather than Manila to avoid the extra flight. So yes things are slightly easier now. You still have a trike ride and two boat transfers once your plane lands. 😁
@@blaineb5105 Thanks for the info. I was planning to book on this spot (post-covid) with my Canadian husband but I read your negative review on the resort so that helps a lot. Will be looking for a much better hotel with good service. Very nice aerial shot btw.
Thank you all for the new recent support and views. It means a lot to me even though I don't post that much. I have a ton of videos from that trip including more drone footage that I'd like to upload. Unfortunately, It's difficult finding a free program that doesn't down res. my videos from 4K to 720p and I'd like to keep the high resolution for those that like 4K footage. Anyways, y'all have a blessed day. I will try to post more when possible for the small amount of people that would like to see. Thank you! :) Also, for my Filipino community: Would anyone like snow footage of my state? Snow season is here so I can take my drone out to get some videos if there are some that would like to see my area and what it looks like during winter-time.
It’s a treasure of beauty!Philippines government didn’t even promote this side of the country even until now only visitors who make a video so that others could watch.I hope it will stay that way people will just ruin it.
It will stay mostly secluded as it still remains harder to get to due to multiple transfers. Years ago we stayed on Alona beach, Panglao Island. My wife and I noted how nice it was that it felt very local and not a lot of tourists. We did our scuba diving cert. there and went back a year later. One year later, it was crazy busy. There were tourists everywhere. So i understand but I try to be as polite and respectful as possible no matter what. I love the PH and can’t wait to visit my second home away from home again.
Taga Pinas ako pero di ko napasyalan ito buti nalang mayroon ngayong Social Media! Hahaha God Bless the earth God Bless Philippines Like heaven on earth!

Working on it. We haven't received a lot of snow this year. Currently, most of it is old and melting. But, we still have Feb-April where it can snow. Waiting for a nice powdery snow of maybe 1 foot (0.3048m). :)
So very beautiful...i love nature very much,Lord can i go there i want to how beautiful the nature created by God,and how to reach there,im from iligan city, mindanao..How i wish to go this paradise.i love it..
Hey Rob, Yes plenty of people travel there when visiting Siargao. This video is from Bucas Grande another island near Siargao. These islands together are the province of Surigao Del Norte. We stayed at Isla Cabana in Siargao (highly recommend if you can splurge on a night or two but it is unfortunately more expensive) near the popular Cloud 9 surfing spots. We stayed another few nights at a popular hotel/eatery up the road called Bravo. This place is very budget friendly and enjoyed the stay here as well. We had a motorbike take us to downtown General Luna to local dock up the road to ferry us to Dapa. Our boatmen met us there and transferred us to Club Tara which is the resort you see in the video. I have a comment below telling a Jaime Torres on how we went there. We wanted to find an over the water hotel room and believe it or not this is one of the few in the Philippines at the time. It's pretty run down and you'll need bug spray but overall decent. Most people just boat there for the day and see the stingless jellyfish, caves, coves, et cetera for the day then boat back to Cloud 9 area. There was a couple that literally left the hotel the same day they were supposed to stay due to not bringing bug spray and realizing it would not be fun to stay there.
Blaine Burks Haha, we always bring bug spray anywhere in the Philippines. It’s part of the jungle tropical appeal. I was hoping to go to Siargao when were in the Philippines next. But, I don’t want to miss out on other nearby attractions. Thanks!
@@robertvidal3935 You'd definitely enjoy the area. I wish we had of went surfing but we didn't. I get what you mean about the bugs but this was on a whole other level and I grew up in the backwoods of Mississippi and have been to many other parts of the Philippines. They also have a few other things to do in the area, but as far as tourism, there is less things to do then say for example the chocolate hills, Alona Beach, and Bohol area as a whole. That area is nice because you can scuba, Tarsier visit, chocolate hills, river restaurant float, and the list goes on.
As i see it for the first time, honestly chocolate hills in bohol is a miles far behind with this fastastic view and scenery. Hoy Sec. Berna Puyat and tourism people open your eyes and promote and develop this paradise. I mean it all depends where you go. I did my dive certification for Scuba on Alona Beach on Panglao Island about 200 ft or more off coast and the reefs, fish, and water were amazing. Here, I didn't go diving on reefs or check any local known scuba or snorkel spots. I mean, when I would swim, I saw plenty of random fish wandering but nothing like the reefs. The reefs have thousands. The locals here serve lots of fish to eat so I'm assuming there are still many :).

Bucas Grande is different from Sohoton?
Yes, Bucas is further south of Sohoton area. It lies to the right (south-east) of Dinagat Island. Or look directly south of Siargao Island.
Kung sohoton cove diyan din po malapit lang. 10 to 20 mins depende sa bangka at panahon kung hindi mahangin.
