- On "My Car Story" we're at Corvette Mike Midwest in Burr Ridge IL on 2-3-17.
We're looking at a 1998 Chevrolet Chevy Corvette in Aztec Gold Paint, # 6 of 15 in Aztec Gold Paint.
In 1998, 15 Corvettes were painted “Aztec Gold”. However the paint was considered not consistent in production. Chevrolet determined to not make any more 1998 Corvettes in Aztec Gold paint. They also determined not to sell the 15 cars to the public, but auction them off to the GM Executives. This rarely seen factory color makes this Corvette collectable.
We’re talking with Bill Kotzum, one of the Owners of Corvette Mike Midwest. He’s had the dealership since 2004. The company is located at 60 Shore Drive, Burr Ridge, IL 60527 who sells Corvettes.

I love this color, I've had two cars this color, but not in a Corvette. One was a Saturn sl2 with all options! This is in really nice condition, I bet it is low mileage! What a beautiful car. Someday I gotta get a vette. Great video as always!

I had a brown 86 Pontiac Pariseanne base sedan, 70, odd miles when I bought it from the original owners grandson 3 years ago or so I really like color the brown / gold.

Did He Say There Was A Problem With the Paint,As the Reason They Were Taken Out of Inventory ? Didn't See Any Problem With That One & Car Is Almost 19 Yrs.Old.

Here is a fact for you in 1997 they made a aztec gold mustang and there is only about 1300 of them

Just noticed the vehicle has an automatic. Would be so much nicer and more in character if it had the stick shift.
That's an interesting comment, many Corvettes have the automatic, and I actually think based on the ride and comfort of the car, it's ok as an automatic (although my car has a stick :-) )
