According to Zillow this unit is a co-op and it sold for 570,000 in January 2021. You could buy a house for that price in rockland county or Yonkers or a really nice high end brand new home with a pool in Florida
Exactly even though in Westchester real state is a killer, but then again it is worth it! Parking space in the Concourse area is a nightmare even if they have it included most likely is limited.
I think everyone is entitled to an opinion. As someone born and raised in the NYC and currently working in the Bronx, I find that the co-op price is a bit high for the space you get. You can buy a house in Bronx and get some more space or a tiny yard if you want for maybe that price or a bit more and probably in a better neighborhood of the Bronx or in a nearby county if you want more. Florida is also just a comparison for those who have a hard time spending this kind of money for a small space- not all of Florida is boonies as it is one of the highest populated states and densely populated “cities” such as Tampa bay, fort Myers, Orlando, Miami, Jacksonville to name a few and with the option for a brand new home (albeit most likely cookie cutter/ manufactured)

$2,500 is way too much money and I’d rather get my apartment through the NYC Housing Connect and I hope it’s in Grand Concourse in The Bronx but up North going towards Westchester County.
The rent is very very high that's the reSon. I'm from the Bronx and a one bedroom is running over 1500.00 a month. So tis apartment goes for a lot more.
They changed the apartment alot, none of those apartments looked like that before. Yes they were always spacious but never looked that nice with the brick walls, washer and dryer and how the kitchen is set up.
I love the floors in this apartment, This apartment is modern but has that old school New York vibe to it, Living in the Bronx would definitely depend on the neighborhood and the crime rate there for me, But that also goes for Queens and Brooklyn. Getting too old for up and coming or iffy neighborhoods these days although I lived in plenty of them back in the 1970s NYC when I was in my twenties.
There has to be a glitch because I've never seen an apartment in the South Bronx that has all these features. The area is sketchy. Plus if your showing an apartment, you would mention how much the rent is, then you'd also show case the surrounding parimeters outside of the building. Therefore, since you only showed the apartment, I'm going to assume that this really isn't much of a gem which we don't how many times this apartment has been vacation, or how much crime is in the area, or if the building is secured with locks as you enter and if mailboxes are also locked. This is actually a great apartment. The apartments on the councourse are pre-war so they are very spacious. My family lives in the building on the 2nd floor on a 2bdrm. And this apartment looks to be more spacious than my family except that these rooms are pretty small. The area is decent with the exception of the train and mostly quiet at night. The price is not mentioned but i can tell you this unit is out of reach for the average bronx and local area resident.
There are condominiums on grand concourse and I’m sure they’re expensive because of public transportation availability, 24 hour grocery stores, hospitals and clinics, all the Court buildings etc....
The apartment looks amazing. 170th and the Grand Concourse, where the bolding is located, is a high traffic commercial area with a lot of stores and congestion. You may like that.
The apartments in this area of the Bronx are all really large, I grew up a couple blocks away from here and the apartments are absolutely massive and you can tell they were built this way because of the how close apartment door frames are to each other. They don’t make apartments like these anymore
Did they plug up the pipe line holes? So that mice can’t get in? LOL! If mice are flipping in the apartment the deal is off! It looks sealed up real good but just asking to be sure.
