Wow,... I played "Proud Mary", with its distinctive riff into the verse, at what was my fourth gig ever in front of an end of year dance at a boarding school in 1968. Some songs stand the test of time.

Hey John, idk if you've ever heard of Mk.gee but guitarists are going wild over his sound currently because it uses no amp or amp like distortion, he uses a DI sound with subtle compression, gated reverb(only loud playing hits the reverb and works almost like a piano pedal) and chorus into a analog mixer preamp so when he digs in it gets some distortion. Thought this was something that would sound awesome to hear you play with.
I’ve found with 80’s tones for modern gigs you almost need to sound more 80’s than the actual 80’s. These tones do that

The chorus on the Helix is great, always loved the 80s scope out of those.... but the flangers I've always found lacking. If you're trying to get Police, Animals era Floyd, or The Cure tones its harder to nail them down. I ended up just buying a couple of analogue flangers to do this.
