What a stupid statement. If the club cannot pay its players and staff it will go out of business. Thus no more Inverness Cally Thistle at all. A points deduction gives them a possibility of surviving at the next league down. The points deduction is there to focus the minds of owners.

Teams should be better managed financially. Scotland does not have enough population to have so many professional teams. With their average crowd size, most clubs can be nothing but semi-pro.

Merging the two old clubs seemed to turn off many in Inverness. If I had a vote it would have been a name like Inverness United or Inverness City. The merging of the names just reminded the diehards that the old Caledonian and Thistle clubs died to create what many thought a Frankenstein creation. Scottish football is an embarrassment to Europe the league is trash the clubs are rubbish and it's got absolutely no money invested in it this is why the national team is a disgrace and has been forever.....the clubs particularly Celtic and rangers only care about each other and seeing who can slag who off more and they don't realise that they are only big clubs in Glasgow because in the rest of Europe they are laughed at and now unfortunately we have another club in Scotland going into administration......UEFA you really need to put some investment into this nation both in the national side and in the clubs themselves or sadly this will never change for Scottish football it's just going to get worse

This news has been coming for over a year. I don't know what the powers that be have done behind the scenes in the meantime but this is not like a club in the central belt - perhaps only 10 miles from the nearest club - at risk of disappearing. The authorities should make sure that the geographical representation of clubs is maintained. Ross County have only survived because they have a rich owner who is prepared to pump oodles of money into the club. Hopefully it is not all doom and gloom. Yeah, they might have to restart as Inverness Caledonian Thistle, and pretend they won the cup in 2015, but we all know their history will die when they go
Celtic went from a privately run club to a PLC when celtic supporters took part in the most successful share issue ever at that time. Unlike the real Rangers who went into administration then ultimately were liquidated. Thats the big difference 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂 @mindfuldex
