      +Zombie Scrapper .. We end up having so many of the LMB's to break down for the cast aluminum... Grrrr ... Those things are a pain in the a$$

    Pretty cool, we have to unload by hand here. I don't do a lot of scrapping but I hear the price is pretty good right now. The other day we pulled a rounded front fridge out of a basement. Thank God it was one of the smaller ones!

      +TheNinjaPicker I guess we got lucky that the closest yard uses the electromagnet. If I was to travel to the next yard that's about 40 miles away, they pay about $0.03 a pound more (but no electromagnet).

    I would check in about reconditioning those dishes and selling them back tutu company that installs them replacing new bolts new wires new screws new paint job that is if you are always going and picking a pile of those up so the more you can do that with anything that you get if you have a steady supply of it

      There might be some type of possibility there.. But the national installation company that hired us to remove these items considered them trash.

    What ended up happening with the gold boards from the receivers?

    • @AJsRemovalServices
      @AJsRemovalServices  6 років тому +1

      +Gerg C .. Getting the boards out of the LMB's tends to be a pain in the rear end... We have so many of these stockpiled it's hard to break them down faster than we get them.. While I was in the process of trying to fill up a 50 gallon barrel with the gold boards, the company that I was going to sell them to went out of business.. soon as I free up some spare time, I need to look into finding a new buyer.. I'm open to suggestions if anybody has any.

    Thinking about starting my own removal business in Jacksonville FL how do you calculate the amount you charge your customers for your removal services.

    • @AJsRemovalServices
      @AJsRemovalServices  5 років тому +1

      Depending on how labor-intensive the job is, between $30 to $35 a square yard.. Some hoarding situations can be as much as $50 a square yard.

      +Cool Guy Stuff .. If you fast forward in the video to 6:10 you will get to see all the LMB's that have were separated off camera... Then look at 6:23 and you will see they're no longer on the satellites.. We actually did that part in the rain and could not shoot video.. We do the best we can to maximize our scrap profits to offset business expenses.

    • @AJsRemovalServices
      @AJsRemovalServices  7 років тому

      +skyler oechler We find it way too time-consuming to strip that just for aluminum wire price. Most of the coax we come across is copper coated aluminum and no one will buy it locally unless we strip it.

      A & J's Removal Services, LLC all you need to do is cut the wire so both ends have nothing on them and you can scrap any cords without even stripping them and they accept it as INSULATED copper.. at least they do up here in brevard. good money in cords...

      @@amberardinger8340 .. We remove the cords at a different location, not on the clients property.. We fill a 30gal barrel, at least once every other month for recycling.
