You can set the VOX delay to a setting that will keep the transmitter keyed in between words. It works quite well.

Great Video! Just what I needed. Thank you! If I may, I like to make a couple of suggestions. Yes, you should definitely read your transceiver’s owners manual first but a quick reference manual may also be available. I was able to buy one for my Yeasu 3000. Also, please consider your spouse/family when choosing your station location. For example, they may not appreciate you disappearing for hours into your ham shack or basement. A station in the main living area be a better choice for domestic tranquillity or you may be out of the hobby.

    Hi,
supposing you were setting up with a foundation licence and wished to use a vertical antenna mounted to a pole on a garage, looking for a secondhand transceiver t reach as far and wide as is possible what would you look for?

Hi, earthing the station. Any recommendations? I do appreciate that it is 'safety' question, I am looking for ideas. My radio is an upstairs bedroom, meaning running an earth wire out of the window is not viable; is using the central heating system which of course is well earthed, a possibility? Thanks in advance.

Did you say that even with global warming we still get cold days and night (10:20)? Are they gas-lighting you about this so called global worming there in England too? The propagandists are pushing that same lie here in the U.S. and in Arizona suddenly we had "record" temperatures even though the actual temperatures were average and never peaked higher than past years. Yet I have observed people who actually believe it feels hotter, even though the temperatures are no different than any typical season 10, 20, 30 or 50 years ago. Anyway, I do find it odd that with enough propaganda and gaslighting, people's perceptions can be effected to the point where you have to remind them to heat their shed.

@@ekbanjosworld4926yes. Primarily because we have reduced greenhouse emissions. Same with acid rain, back in the early 90s it was a genuine concern with crop yields demonstrably being affected. Thankfully governments, companies and people have put the effort in and actually reduced harmful emissions.
You may not, but thankfully not everyone in the world is as dim-witted and ignorant as yourself.
