Thank you so much for sharing. I just bought my first camper and am heading out Friday 11/3 to Quartzsite for my inaugural winter. Because of you I signed up for Moon Mountain Mail service.
Thank you for this...I'm planning on going to Quartzsite to stay for at least a couple of days to maybe a week for the RV rally and content creators so knowing where all these places are is really helpful...I really want to check out that $1 store...except I couldn't quite tell where it was exactly! lol
This video was great! Someday I hope to come to Quartzite, but I don't know anything about it, so this video was great!! I subscribed to learn as much as I can, before I come down there. I'm pretty far away, in Michigan. I would like to come down from Jan.-Feb.
That's a great time to come with lots of activities for everyone. I will be posting additional videos with information on Mail Service, Veterinary services etc this season.
QUESTION!!!!!!!!!Just found your channel and I like it!! Question. What are the chances or a big developer coming in and ruining this beauty or even building near by which will also ruin this. We are two years from this dream. I am so concerned about it being ruined. Yes QUIET!
Most of the land is BLM land. For a business to come here, they would need more than a seasonal work force. I don't see any big developments coming any time soon. Yhe town has been military training area in past even a Japanese internment camp in Poston not far away. It's very remote for being on I10. The only thing I've see that kinda ruined a small portion of the hundreds of thousands of acres here in last 4 years, was transmission lines east of town. This is really an incredible place with like minded people that enjoy the beautiful Sonoran Desert! Hope you get to experience it in person! Thanks for watching my videos!
@@Livingit1 thank you for answering. I am in inland empire and I have seen so so much investors ruin life for us. My husband is a great rockhounder for the last 4 years. He spends days in the desert camping till I cam breaks way. We have been planning and praying this all comes true. 1.5 years till retirement and hoping we can work seasonal jobs. Thank you. New fan! Awsome! I know you will be in good hands with Badge! From what I understand, he is an amazing mechanic! Look forward to meeting him as well. If you need any help, be sure to let us know.
Great info..Thank you! Soon to retire and stay in Quartszite. This helps so much. I would love to know more of the community experience. How to connect with other RVers...find friends.
The community experience can happen in different ways. There are alot of events to meet people like different types of RV owners groups, van builds, music events, metal detecting clubs, utv clubs and campfires are all great ways. The biggest thing I can tell you is that you have to put yourself out there. Walk up to neighbors or fellow campers and introduce yourself. I met many of my nomadic friends this way and also locals I see every year. Hope this helps.
Nothing about pie? LOL. Glad you had a safe trip there. I just turned in my latest class-b+ for its 4x4 conversion and now heading to Kentucky for some deer hunting. This sudden cold spell might get the rut in motion. Picking up the RV after Thanksgiving and the heading to Q-town. See ya then. Fair Winds.
Yes, very good news, Thanks for the tour, Im a new sub and am looking forward to your future posts. My truck and slide-in should be here in time for next winter in Quartzite @@Livingit1

@@Livingit1 100% agree. I went ahead and signed up. I've been with a different local service (that's all I'll say about that). I think with the closing of Quiet Times (great folks there and VERY well organized, they will be missed for sure), and looking at the current local competition, Moon Mountain Mail is in a great time and place to launch this. I like what they've setup, and where they are headed. I believe they are, and will be the best thing going forward in local mail and package service etc.
New Arizona legislature on the table. Out of state- "OTHER THAN ARIZONA" registered vehicles will need to pay a fee if in the state for more than 14days, All will need to register there stay. Database will have length of stay fee calculated. Violators will be issued severe monetary penalty fines. Second offenders will be impounded and 3x penalty fine levied.
Say, lots of people mention the firewood place, but what do you get? Is it a two handed or one handed bundle, and for how much? Thanks for taking the time to show whats up.
I will check later and post in upcoming video. I believe it was between $25-35 last year for a banana box last year. The other place sold by small wheelbarrow for a similar amount.
Good question, some do some don't. Most of the ones that don't keep their dogs under control. But there is always one. My dogs are trained to stay in my campsite. One has to be walked on a leash and o e does not. But always in control of them.
Low 40's by the end of December, water depends on if you want reverse osmosis or just regular water. In small Containers about 25 cents a gallon gor RO. You can get showers at laundromat on main for $11 which is cheaper than the truckstops. I use water I get from LaPosa south LTVA and run through my Berkey for drinking.
Reviewing UA-cam vids on Quartzsite for upcoming trip. You made comment..."I won't talk about them"...ref "Big Market". Why not make comment? I take reviews with grain of salt, but good to hear honest good or bad reviews.
Crazy prices out there ! -- Moved to Kentucky from Payson - couldn't afford Arizona anymore & your proving it even more with your prices. Our gas is $2.63 and a large 5 topping good pizza is $14.99 - not $20 - $22 for a 3 topping !!! --?-- Your like California now almost. - - - Cost of living here is 25 - 30% below the national average not above it like AZ. > Rent in Phoenix is putting people homeless daily ! --Terrible for elderly on fixed incomes - saw 70 & 80 year olds sleeping under overpases and behind dumpsters with rent raised hundreds / month after leases ran out. - - - Biden's America isn't for everyone ?
For a full-time RVer, Arizona is very reasonable place to camp in the winter. I myself stay away from Large cities like Phoenix. Fuel is a bit higher here than other places but also lower than some. It is much cheaper to stay here than other places like Florida.
@@Livingit1 -- Perhaps so - but don't rent a place ! -- I've been looking everywhere for a year and I'm too old to do the RV thing. -- Many have moved to the Philippines where rent can be had for as low as $50/mo for a private room. A small 1 br apartment for $80 - $100/mo. Food is half what it is here or less. One American recently got there and went & got a Big mac fry & coke for $3.50 ! Here where I am in Ky. it's.$8.47 !!! He said it was the same exact thing that was $13 in Calif. -?- Several live well there if your smart & frugal for $700 - $800/mo. on their SS checks - usually $900 - $1800/mo.
Jan 27th 2001 according to NOAA they got 6 inches. Although since I started coming here in 2019, I haven't seen any. One year they had snow in Tucson! Imagine snow on a cactus lol

Approximately 3 miles. It's further back then most want to go. In my opinion, it's worth the drive!

Sounds like a money grab. Tried a impact fee in Florida, it was over turned in Florida and all money's had to be refunded!

Not alot right now, but maybe during the show.
I heard that if you’re tent camping you have to be within a certain distance from the restrooms. Is this true?
Yes I believe it is 500ft if you don't have a black tank of 10 gals or more. But there are at least 4 in each of the LTVAs and plenty of room still.
