Just got mine yesterday and he’s shedding he was eating dirt so I changed him to paper towel put him in moss and he started eating the moss 🤦🏽♂️so took that out but idk if I should help him with his shed or not? Not sure how long he’s been shedding for
How long could we leave stuck shed on a new gecko ? Since I want to leave it alone within its first 2 weeks
If it doesnt shed in 1-2 days I would help it get rid of the stuck shed. Temporary stress is preferred over a more serious shed issue that can develop from not taking care of it right then

I use a pointy toothpick to get under the skin of the toes. Great video!
what about bathing them in luke warm water ?
How ofren does a crested gecko sheds? Ive had mine for 5 months and she shed only once. It was a good shed but im worried about it. I spray her 2x a day.

Good to know about overheating. I was always worrying that I was just stressing them out to an extreme amount, because after I would help them they would breathe heavy, and then have a head shake when they would walk, like they were unstable

Me and my son got to crested geckos from a friend and the male has stuck shed on his nails, do you have any advice. Those babies were so cute.
i just faced this issue for four nights in a row but i finally got it all off him lol this is a nightmare one reason i think i will only buy adults from now on.
