Great video - I'm at Scarborough for a few days and I'm going to definitely have a go on my Hobie. I'm new to Yak fishing so still getting to grips with lures and my setup. Really interested in your setup. In particular where your rod holders and fishfinder are fitted. Looks more sensible than mine. Can you post something on your boat setup? eg. what Rod holder fittings, fishfinder bracket, where you stash your bits 'n' pieces, where you put your fish, etc .... Again, great video and I have subscribed. Taa Steve
Hey Stephen. Scarby is a great spot. There are some trophy fish around there at times. Its sometimes not easy to find fish, but the effort can pay off big time. If you have a look at my "trolling in moreton bay" video, there is a couple of better fish. I have a different hobie these days. Are you on facebook ? If you check out the lure project on there and send me through a message I can send you some pics/details.
I havent ever seen anyone doing it before. I know there are some issues flying drones because of Redcliffe airport once you get south around Queens Beach. The northern part at Scarborough is ok though. It would be fun to give it a go.
I've still never hit up scarby, but definitely need to get a weekday off to do it. I've spent waay too many days dodging boats at palm beach to put up with that kind of nonsense. :p That's why i like raby bay so much, no boats.
Fish'n'bits it's normally not that bad, but I guess long weekend and everyone was trying to beat the wind. Scarby probably isnt as consistent as wello/raby but we get a better max size. Plenty of 70cm + snaps caught off scarby.
