I actually just farmed 150 Uber Mavens last night. You're relying a lot on 'lucky' drops to make even. In my case I dropped a Progenesis, Fork, Enhance, and 2 Jewels worth 50d plus. It was a 450d to 460d investment in writs, and I came out losing 3 Divs (without counting sextants and minor jewels/gems). HOWEVER that's WITHOUT counting Sextants, which you can 'easily' sell for 1 Div each once you have a stack of 30 or more. In my opinion farming Uber Maven is worth it, but there are other strats that are good with less risk. Between farming Uber Maven and rolling Sextants, I'd say rolling sextants is a much higher profit/hour and less of a risk. I'd say don't consider farming Uber Bosses unless you're able to invest in 100 Writs to counter bad RNG.
Tbh you were acutally very lucky with your outcome.... I did around 1.5k uber mavens this league and it wasnt profit until around 300 mavens but from then on it skyrockets and I made a few mirrors so as it is with everything in POE... The more you do the better it gets
Yea you got lucky bud for sure !! Most uber farmers doing thousands of bosses so eventually they can make bank because running a few or even a hundred is a minor number after all the game company has the word grinding in it so yea you have to grind for gear ! Not discounting your comment or luck !
There's always a little bit of a lag-time between when I test/record/edit and when the video releases so it was much closer to 100 Div when I tried this. Though it has come down significantly in the past few days.
I have a dozen of maven's writs laying around from boss rushing, and this is the firat league I can actually do ubers. Have already done 4 of them with abysmal return, your video convinced me to sell the rest 💀
Thats why i only do uber shaper since its garanteed profit because of frags, the set is 1.4d and the frag you can sell for 2.2d a piece, i did 150 uber shaper and got 2 sublime vision wich i sold for 145d total, uber shaper for the win
For me this was the first League where I decided to try out Bossing. Started with Shaper since I invested almost all of my currency into my PBrand Inquisitor, Shaper was good Profit but got too annoying after ~50 Kills, tried Sirus after him, was very profitable, did like 200 Kills. After Sirus I killed like ~20 Mavens just to see if I can win the lottery but did lose currency on it, did like 50 Exarchs and even tho I got rly lucky on droprates alone (3x Omniscience and 5 Flames), I still lost currency on it. My Last set were 50 Eaters where I also lost like 1/3 of my Investment. Can recommend Sirus for nice and steady profits.
The reason why I do bosses on Softcore is because I just want to get better at bossing because from all the other vids I've seen they said you need to be lucky on drops.
I got a progenesis on my 25th maven, and 0 meaningful loot outside the elevated sextants in all the other runs. I've done 100 uber shapers (roughly a third as uber uber elder) and gotten exactly 0 uber shaper-specific drops. My friend dropped a sublime visions on this third uber shaper of the league. Uber boss variance is weird, but it's a part of what makes it so fun to do
i did a few uber mavens and ended up more or less cost neutral getting lucky on the very last one haha. still worth though, that 500div carrot is pretty enticing
And thats why I play ssf : killed 15 uber sirus > got no woke gems > got no saviour > got no massive ring > got an oriath's end = Profit Killed like 20 uber mavens , no big money woke gem , no progenesis : got maven's belts = NICE an upgrade
You are a bit in the negative but you still have to sell everything to be only a bit in the negative. Uber bosses are in a very sad state. I was doing ubers on day 3-4 of the league and made some money.
In crucible I really disliked the mechanic so I did boss farming. I mainly did guardian rotations but found selling fragments after the fact slow and annoying and no one ever wanted to buy 10+ sets at a time and I had hundreds. Did 300+ uber shapers and agree if you want to always make money he is by far the best but he is also super slow and has little to no large value spikes in profit. Only found 4 sublime visions in all those runs as well and with so few I just sold them unid. Normal elder if you don't ID the watcher's eyes was shockingly good money as good or better then uber shaper did around the same amount. Eyes dropped like every 3-4 kills. Used all those fragments plus a few more and did 200 uber uber elders and if I had sold all the eyes unid would have made a ton of profit but IDing the eyes I lost a ton of money like 300 Div plus. I haven't done maven in many leagues but always seems like way to much of a gamble because you only see one awaken (empower/enlighten/enhance) gem every 100 kills from my testing and you really need it to be an enlighten to feel profitable. Everything else she has generally has little to no value because the price is always so high with builds that can kill her before she even does a memory game and they are doing thousands of them. Eater and Exarch feel the same a pretty big gamble until you are killing it in the thousands then it will turn out to be crazy money. Sirus for me is pretty meh I dislike the fight greatly and while I have done hundreds of it the value seems pretty meh. Massives are common enough that you will likely break even with those alone in a good sample size. Then everything else you drop is your profit. So it can be good if you get lucky on flask, awaken gems, and awakaner's orbs but it is most likely going to feel pretty meh. Cortex is never worth and is hard carried by feared rotations. I think they did this boss dirty when they changed it's atlas key stones and removed synth items from the trash.
As a new player that is just learning the game mechanics it is pretty hard to do these “endgame” content. Even with good budget and gear like progenesis and headhunters I still struggle to do even harvest juiced up. What is a fun mechanic that isn’t too hard and still make you some currency? I would like to hear any opinions. I been using essence farming to make most of my currency. I tried MF T7 ceme and its just fun but too rippy.
This league the boss keys are prohibitively expensive, you're way better off just selling them unless you want to fucking live in that Maven arena for days. Or any other boss arena. Except for Sirius which has relatively cheap boss sets and drops fairly expensive uniques. Unidentified threads from Uber Sirius sell very well in bulk on TFT. You can also vaal those inward eyes, +1 power charges corruption is also dozens of divines, especially high roll on the (9-21%) roll. Other than Sirius though? Sell the keys. Even if you manage to break even after 100 boss kills (which is not guaranteed!) you are not factoring it the time it takes to kill an uber boss 100 times. You don't have that cringe totem build from Crucible league that made bossing laughable, you actually do spend time fighting these bosses. So let's say you make 50 divines profit...in how many hours may I ask? You can just boss rush white quality maps with essence and make 20 div per hr. Essences are very expensive and so are Exarch keys. 2,5 div guaranteed every 28 maps, on top of whatever you drop from bosses themselves (mainly boss maps) and a fuck ton of essence. Another strategy is running Guardian maps with Destructive Play (especially Sirius guardians are good) and do Maven invitation every 4 maps. Juiced Elderslayer invitations drop 0,6 writ which is nice.
This league is really going to mess up the player base. Your statement "end of the league" less than half-way through shows it impacted the high-end players by enabling them to be 'done' way too early. Casual players will also be heavily impacted as they aren't going to really understand what a 'normal' level of wealth feels like next league.

bad timing on this, since progenesis was like 100div a week ago lol

I have done 12 until know ... 1 impossible scape(elemental equilibrium = 1 div)

Yep he's a great entry point into uber bossing, a bit boring sometimes but you can't lose money.
For me this was the first League where I decided to try out Bossing. That's pretty close to my experience so far.

Just did 59 U.Mavens today.5-6 4.5d awakened gems and 1 progenesis. Lost about 30-40 divines ... felt great after
Best gambling advice I've heard. The more you do the better!
I like how there is so many videos out about how profitable uber bossing is 😂😂
The sextants are worth a lot , first time I'm trying bossing and I'm enjoying it.
i did a few uber mavens and ended up more or less cost neutral getting lucky on the very last one haha. still worth though, that 500div carrot is pretty enticing

for me uber sirus is the most profitable of all uber bosses rn. done more than 1000 set. 100 set at a day always profit 100-300div
That's definitely very consistent.
A buddy of mine did like 200 maven's writs and was negative the whole time even with nice drops... this league bossing is a joke.
I wouldn't say it's bossing as a whole, maven in particular though seems to be in a poor spot due to the "jackpot" being so high.
@@Tenkiei Yeah I definitely meant it as maven bossing, not bossing in general. Sorry if that was misleading or poorly worded.
did 100 a week ago got nothing xd pretty much 300 d to the bin

Actually this league hasn't particularly impacted my progress. I'm always at the point of throwing hundreds of divines at silly things a month in.
