The Passion of Marianne Faithfull

- Faithfull got so deep into Shel Silverstein's 'Ballad of Lucy Jordan' that by the end she was in tears - and this was just an early run-through. Filmed at the Village Gate in NYC in 1993. Faithfull was part of Penny Arcade's show Bitch! Dyke! Faghag! Whore! Also in this video are excerpts of 'The Boulevard of Broken Dreams' and John Lennon's 'Working Class Hero.' She sang the latter and 'Lucy Jordan' on her Grammy-winning album Broken English. Backing Marianne are Marc Ribot, Greg Cohen and David Mansfield.
