So long comment incoming, but there were a few things misplayed this game that might have affected the outcome, mainly from the shadow thief plays. He is a confusing character, and I made the same mistake with shadows when i first played. Also, I know this is a friendly game and not a tournament or anything serious, but i feel like you guys might want to know when things aren't played correctly. However, if you get annoyed with my comments, just let me know, and I'll stop. First one is Shadow Thief used Better D on their turn 2 to reroll their dice, but Better D is only used for defense rolls, not Offensive rolls. It was still a whiff, but just have to be careful of which card you are using. Second, on turn 4 for Shadow Thief rolled shadow dance but was already in shadows. I believe it also says it on the back of the leaflet, but shadow dance doesn't give you shadows again. So you cant gain shadows while already in shadows. You would just lose shadows at the end of the turn. The outcome of the game might have been different since this caused Barbarian to roll Fortitude more often than dealing damage. He actually rolled Fortitude 5 times this game lol Also, Shadow Dance ability says deal pure damage then gain token, but pure damage cant be modified. It should have only been 3 damage first time and 2 damage the second time, and Barbarian should not have rolled defense for either, since pure damage is undefendable. He didn't block anything the first Shadow Dance, but the second time he did. Just keep in mind that damage type is important. He did use his Not This Time the first time which could have saved him later. Be careful of timing, some abilities say deal damage then gain token, while others say gain token, then deal damage. This will decide whether you can use it on the turn you gained it. So for example, paladin has an ability where it says deal damage, THEN gain crit and accuracy. You cant sell cards during your roll phase. You can only sell in main phase. On turn 8 for Shadow Thief, you sold your Counter Strike II defense to play One More Time. When you played the card Enter the Shadows at the end of turn 9, you removed it at the start of your next turn (turn 10), but it should have stayed on until the end of turn 10. At the end of the game, Shadow Thief played Get That Outta Here during the end of Barbarians turn to remove concussion, but that's not the right time to play the card. You can only play red interrupt cards. Concussion should have stayed on because it stops the income phase, then goes away, then you get your main phase where you could have played that card. I'm looking forward to seeing how this tournament ends up and who you guys get to play!
Hey your comments are very much appreciated, the shadow thief is complex to play and I appreciate all the feedback, it was my first time playing this character as well, we play live so that we can get comments like this and improve our game so please understand how much we appreciate you doing this. We will strive to get better. Thank you once again for to taking the time and effort to do this
