@@DouglasFamilyTravels You are such sweet people! I can’t remember how I connected with your videos, it might’ve been a UA-cam recommendation, but I enjoy your videos.
Thanks for the video! We’re bringing our 8 month old twins on a cruise next month (so they’ll be 9 months)…trying to assemble a packing list and this helps. I hadn’t thought of the disposable bibs and puppy pads! We also use breastmilk so were going to bring a yeti cooler. All the mini portable fridges I looked at just cool to 20-32 degrees below room temp, which isn’t cold enough. And we were contemplating bringing our Uppababy stroller vs. buying a smaller umbrella stroller. Glad to see the Uppababy worked for you!
I'm so glad this helped. We are so thankful Royal was accommodating with us bringing the frozen breastmilk. Definitely do the dry ice too. If you are sailing on a Royal Caribbean ship, I suggest you contact Royal Special Needs Department (just call Royal and they will transfer you) to give them a heads up you will be bringing a cooler. Also, make sure you add a luggage tag (the one the cruise lines provide to you) on the cooler so the porters can take it up to your room. We are SOOOO glad we brought our Vista. We used it everywhere we went (on and off the ship) and had no issues. Plus, it was nice having the bottom for storage! I hope you guys have a great time! Our daughter was 9 months old in this sailing!
Hi! Great video & so helpful! Just booked our RC cruise & will be taking our then 8 month old baby (1st Vaca with baby!! :)) …. I have the vista V2 stroller too… how did you package stroller for plane?
Nope! Just request it when you are placing your meal order. They were able to always quickly whip up something. We would also always ask for small cut fruit when we sat down which really helped keep our 9 month old happy.
I hope you guys have a great time! Our next one is this October and our daughter will be 18 months. We are anxious to see how differently this cruise will be compared to her cruising at 9 months!
Yes we brought our own. I just posted a newer video giving a bit more detail too about the things we brought. I hope you have a wonderful cruise with your baby!!!
I hope you have an awesome time! We used/still use a vtech baby monitor. It can be connected using WiFi or direct mode. We love our monitor and have never had any issues. When cruising, we do not use WiFi to connect and of course, we never leave our room while our baby is in there. baby camera is only used while our daughter is sleeping and we are in the other room or balcony.
@@DouglasFamilyTravels awesome thank you so much. Trying to get everything together now because this is our first time traveling with our daughter I’m sure I’m gonna overpack but hopefully I have everything we need
Hello! I did not bring any breast pump supplies (we received donor breast milk); however, I did a lot of research and everyone suggested that I use the Medela breast pump cleaning liquid to wash all my bottles/baby supplies as it cleaned the best. We used that and will bring it again on our upcoming cruise. We also brought portable drying racks to dry everything. I do not believe the cruise line will let you bring a sterilizer; however, we did bring a portable bottle warmer (I showed that on one of our videos. It's the Munchkin brand and it works very well and is portable). I provided the link below to show you the Medela cleaning stuff we used/recommend. I hope this helps and that you have a wonderful time on your cruise! We next sail this October on Allure again. a.co/d/5GS0scD
We drove for this cruise. But, I’ve flown before with frozen BM. I used a soft sided yeti cooler with yeti ice (not dry ice). TSA was awesome and didn’t give me any trouble.
hey! thanks for this video! so cool to see you guys managed this so well. I have some things I would need to get, but I'm considering a royal carribean cruise with my wife and our 3 month old. it would seem that maybe our baby will be closer to 4 or 5 months when we go potentially, but do you have any suggestions specific to that age? do you think it can still be fun? my wife and I have both never done a cruise
Hello! I really hope you and your family go on your fist cruise! We sure love it! One really important thing - most cruise lines, including Royal, a baby cannot sail until they are 6 months of age or older. As far as "would it still be fun" - we still had a great time! It was just a lot more relaxing/chilling than going-going. One thing to note, that i think is important when reviewing our video and someone wanting the same - we were in a suite. I only say this to mention that the suite perks greatly helped us as we were able to stay in our room to let our baby play or sleep / rest while we had food or drinks delivered. It was also nice being on our balcony to people watch while our baby napped or slept at night.
9 months is how old our daughter was in this video! You will have a great time! Unfortunately, she did not want to stay in the Adventure Ocean (kids club for babies). The AO staff was very sweet and great with kids. One of our favorite things was the baby free play area. We would go each night after dinner to let her play around with toys and other babies! Was nice to get her tired for bed!!
@@DouglasFamilyTravels Do you have to pay for the Adventure Ocean/Nursery childcare? If so, how much is it? Is there a time limit on how long you can leave them? I guess I'm also curious - can babies go to shows? Be in a carrier sleeping on you while you're in the casino? Or bars? I'm not sure if you didn't go because she was already asleep, or because babies aren't allowed to go to those things. Thanks!
@@LolalitaChapzif your baby is under 3 years old and not potty trained, there will be a fee of $6/ hour. Bring headphones because there can sometimes be loud music.
Always such a beautiful family and it’s great to see it growing bigger!

Did you bring a pack and play? Or just the mattress ?
We brought her PNP as well as the mattress.
Did you bring the pack n play with you or just the mattress? I’m cruising on RC out of Galveston in 2 weeks with an 8 month old. This is so helpful!

Hi Kali - can you by chance share a link to the phone mount you mentioned in this video? I can't seem to locate it anywhere. Thank you!

Hi! Did you guys request the play pen with the mattress or a crib or did you bring your own play pen with mattress on board???
We brought our own to be safe. But I know you can request one and they are first come first serve.

Did they allow you to take your little one in the pool?
If they wear a diaper you can only take your baby in the splash pad area. Only potty trained kids can swim in the pools.
May I ask How old was your baby when you took her to the cruise?
