michelle phan is legit one of THE og beauty youtubers, and especially one of the OG asian beauty gurus...some day I'll be able to afford her products hahaha
As a Canadian, I can totally relate to the pricing part. Our exchange rates are not favourable. Plus I had to pay for duties. But I have loved everything I ordered so much that I would definitely order again. My favourites so far are the brown cream and lip liner. I'm definitely going to pick up the cushion foundation next time i order from them... but it might be a while from now.
Fellow Canadian, I feel the same. Especially ordering from US brands, we're right next door so why so expensive. The only thing stopping me from ordering Em cosmetics is shipping but I'm dying to try the brand.
They're like glossier but even more expensive... I'll just stick to glossier for now. Also lots of Korean brands have similar if not better products for a fraction of the price! The missha moist up cushion is amazing, kiss me eyeliner, many eyeshadows (like peach c) that have similar shades
I love how in depth your reviews are. You don't just say 'i like the product/i don't' but you actually compare it and analyze how "worth it" products are, which is really helpful when i'm trying to figure out whether or not i want to spend my money on them
We need you to review more Asian brands! I would also love it if you made a video about lashes for Asian eyes or your eye shape, the brands you recommend in Aus/No or any lash advice
now i definitely have to bite the bullet with the cushion foundation! i'm glad u had such a good customer experience, most reviewers would never even consider that an aspect of brand worth speaking about.
I feel the same way about Michelle Phan as well growing up, but I never really bought or wore make-up until recently. I love watching your videos and feeling inspired by your recommendations and looks (especially colourpop and elf)- you're my Michelle Phan :)
I love your reviews Judy, and I appreciate how you're honest with your thoughts. You echoed a lot of my hunches about this brand in your review so I'm glad I watched you first. Price point aside I love the way you wore these products, this look suits you so well! Especially your skin base & blush!
Been waiting for you to review this brand because I feel like their aesthetic fits you so much! I've been so curious about their serum blush, it looks so beautiful on you! Will prob have to make an order soon 😍😍
I have oily skin but I personally love Dewy complexion products. It just makes my makeup look so fresh and glowy and NEVER emphasizes texture like matte products do. I seriously love products like this and I tried the Purito CC cream recently and I really the ingredient list, how it cancels out my redness, and how it also has such a healthy your skin but better finish. The only issue is that one I have the wrong shade in so it makes me look super pale like Casper the friendly ghost. Haha. So I would be excited to try the day dream cushion and I think I would have a better turnout with the shade range for this product. Ya feel?
The glowy, neutral look suits you so well! The UZU liner is my fav eyeliner too. Their brown is the best- it's an actual mid brown instead of a deep coffee/black brown? So it's great to see a comparison of the eyeliners, since EM is inspired by Asian beauty brands. Just the price point difference lol... I appreciate the honest palette review too. The design and shades are so appealing but you convinced me that their blushes/cushion are more worth it imo.
Judy, thank you for doing this! I’ve been interested in trying em cosmetics and wasn’t sure of what to get. Also I just wanted to say that you’re one of my fav beauty youtubers - I can binge watch your videos for hours! Your half cut crease video also helped me so much 🥰
Its not only the vibes that are great but the ingredients that michelle used are great. She worked on the formula for a long time. I would be paying for the ingredients and long term skin care effects of this rather than cheap make up. :)
so excited for this review! been wanting to try em cosmetics for the longest time. btw, i'd love to hear your thoughts on the K-Beauty brand Rom&nd/Romand, perhaps on your next Yesstyle haul! 💞
I have the heaven’s glow magic hour blush and I really like it. I also have the Morning Dew gloss and it is the BEST clear gloss out there. I want to try her lip cushions and her mascara out soon!
Because of you I decided to buy the cushion foundation :) oh well :) I also love red blushes. The very best I have is Nars Exibit A. Of course must apply with a light hand on fair skin but it’s beautiful.
omg michelle phan is just a queen!!!! i kinda did think of buying from them for my birthday but the prices were way too high for teen so yeahh colourpop it is!!! but well i will support her in future !!! and ur thumbnail is just everything!!!! its so aesthetic!!!! and love ur review .....i really like the colour of magic hour :))))
6:42 guuurl for real i've been looking for a cushion in my shade and even chanel didn't have it (i'm not even that dark or whatever) so when emcosmetics came out with theirs i jumped on it, i just placed my order so now i'm looking to see ow it performs haha
This was a really well done video💕. I’ve really been wanting to try em cosmetics. Maybe when I’m older I’ll be able to order from them. Michelle Phan and Bubz are the two I’ve been watching for ages.
Yayyy was waiting for you to review EM. Even though I live in Canada and can't afford to pay the shipping and duties 😭, I love the brand's aesthetics and always loved watching youtubers review their products. Maybe one day I'll make the splurge hahah
I think it's also about ingredients because em cosmetics might usually uses better ingredients (infusing skincare and such) in their products so in comparison to Colourpop, you are investing in the higher, cleaner ingredients.
I'm SO EXCITED that you posted this, Judy!! I've been trying to look for a review of the cushion from someone I trusted, and I'm so glad you liked it! I'll definitely be buying it during Black Friday (because its essentially 24 dollars a refill, which is pretty average to me for foundations). Wish I could try the CP tinted moisturizer since its cheaper, but the whole Pretty Fresh line has coconut water/oil and I'm allergic *cries*. Seriously so happy it has your thumbs up so I can purchase it :)
So excited to watch this with a cup of tea! I've also had very positive experiences shopping with them. I wish I had the budget to buy more, looking forward to their Black Friday sales. I love love their serum blushes, they're fairly mask proof but I need to layer a powder blush on top for greater longevity. You look gorgeous here Judy (as usual 😍) 💕💕💕
As a broke human, I was wondering if someone could put the colour pop tinted moisturizer in a cushion case (you can get them from yes style) and if that would increase the coverage the same as a brush wouldld.
Yay! So good to hear their shipping is so affordable. The palette is kinda exxy so if they do a Black Friday sale maybe I’ll snatch one. Thanks for reviewing Em cosmetics, I’ve always been curious but their shipping put me off in the past. I’m kinda over colourpop atm so this comes in good time 🤭
I loved this review!! You had a great range of the products!! I have been debating for agess on whether to grab the lip cushion but I think you made my mind up for me 😄 🤍
I have a long Em cosmetics wishlist. Glad to hear that the international shipping price lowers past $100USD, my cart is large enough... The only thing that's stopped me from ordering is the shipping price. I think I'll be making an order in the near future. It's mostly lip and cheek products I'm eyeing. P.S. Julia Adams has also made me want Em stuff.
love the video! been waiting for an em cosmetics review hahah uzi is my holy grail eyeliner too, im on my 2nd one and I love it. The main issue I have is the leaking sometimes and how hard it is to buy it in Australia :(((
I'd love to try her products but there is no way I'd pay 84$ (estimated price on her website for shipping to Sweden) for shipping and then customs duty.
I bought their cushion and I really love it. I have combination skin, my t-zone being super oily. I have not been wearing foundation for a couple of years because I hate the feeling I get when it's on my face. This cushion I can't even feel it. For me I would describe it like if you are putting skin care on your face. The finish however I'm confused because I do not get a dewy finish I get more of a matte finish. I remember someone mentioned in someone's comment section that the finish of this cushion does not show up as dewy on their skin either. Which it's the same for me. Has anyone else had this issue? Either way I don't mind because the feeling and just everything about it is perfect for me. For someone who stopped wearing foundation this gives me the perfect my skin, but better look.
man I was having such a hard time figuring out what to buy on the website, I have been sold on the foundation but I was iffy on the powder blush and lip products ahhh thank you
I feel the same way about Michelle..I basically grew up watching her. Then it became full circle when I found out our sisters were best friends and got to meet Michelle and Promise. I love the liquid blush I got from EM and am now considering more products. I think her eyeshadows are size comparible to kbeauty. I think we're too used to these humongous pallets these days.
I really love Em Cosmetics' lip liners but wasn't a fan of the eye shadow palette only because they didn't stand out in terms of formula for me. I want to try their cushion foundation, but I'm also combination skin and I don't know that I really want a full-on dewy look.
I have 4 true glosses, 2 lip cushions, blushes (3 shades of the serum and 1 of the powder), and her brown brush tip eyeliner. The serum blush dropper is always like that its annoying. Her true glosses are SO pigmented its like a liquid lipstick. Im not a fan of super pigmented glosses but the faded clementine one is 👌 I sheer it out with my finger. I also love her clementine blush. The lip cushion in Venetian rose is good but i think its pricey. The eyeliner and serum blushes i thought were okay. I love michelle phan but i think her products are pricey. I love the aesthetic of her packaging. The only things that wowed me was the true gloss and blush both in faded clementine but Im a huge fan of 🍊 Everything else it was good but its not my favorite so i was a bit disappointed. But i still love and want to support her. So eventually I'll try her other stuff.
You're not wrong about Korean cushion foundation's having only a small range of shades but most brands have up no No.28 (NC40/45) now! I hope em cosmetics will have some shades for reeeeally dark shades too :)
Yay! I’m really interested in EM cosmetic ☺️ The serum blushes have been on my wish list a long time but I’m just not a fan of the packaging. I wish they made it in a tube🤷🏻♀️ however It looks amazing on you. Anyway , to be honest I will not buy the cushion foundation no matter how great it is due to the high price point. I always order my cushions directly from S. Korea and even for luxury brands like Sulwhasoo cost under $45 include a refill off course. I bought my Sulwhasoo snowise brightening for $41 and Laneige only $22 (shipping/tax included) And there are way more other brands that are even cheaper that are top quality. Even with international shipping, It is much cheaper buying K-beauty products directly from Asia than here in the States. Everything is overpriced here in the States I feel consumers are being ripped off all the time. Btw the eyeshadows look amazing on you❤️Thanks for this video.
I don’t have any experience buying k beauty in the states but what websites do you use? Yesstyle? Stylenanda? I would like to know where I can purchase the Korean branded ones for almost the same price or lower.
@@melissatsang9493 usually sites that offer lower flat rate or free ship if over certain amount you can try. (Yesstyle, wishtrend, cosmeticlove, Ibuybeauti, stlevana, any reputable seller on EBay... ) I usually order from ibuybeauti or yesstyle whichever is cheaper. I find they always have coupons and price is lower plus if u buy $50+ few dollars shipping if not free, wait time is about 3-4 weeks (yesstyle faster) I don’t mind the wait.
thats completely fine!! since im cruelty free my options are quite limited when it comes to kbeauty but im glad you're able to test out so many cushions!!
The EM cosmetics blush droppers are just difficult to use you didn't get a packaging dud. Apparently you are supposed to hold it out half way then push the button down and then push it in all the way, release the button and the dropper will be loaded with the product
Im sad I didn't get this brands day fusion. I ended up getting the dior one from the sephora rouge sale. Which is really good. But I have always wanted to EM cosmetics. Dior one is super expensive. It's like $48 for just the refill. The whole item with compact is $85.
oh your technique with applying the blush with a sponge is interesting! I find applying it with fingers or a brush applies too much product - which then comes off a bit too greasy. which I dont mind but now there's an option of control using the sponge. awesome, thanks. everyone has issues with the droppers, I hope they can get that fixed. almost every reviewer makes note of it.
I really want to try her cushion foundation because cushions are basically the only thing I use these days. I live in Australia so 48 USD would be 65 AUD, that kind of pricing is basically the higher end stuff here 😬😩
So happy you reviewed EM Cosmetics! I wanna try her new Daydream Cushion , but I do agree about the price part, its expensive imo. I'll def buy when there's a sale! Xoxo from California! :)
When I first saw you posted your EM cosmetics haul on your IG, I actually was having my cart ready for the BF sale, talk about timing! 😄 I'm really thankful for this review, Judy, bcs I knew you will not only review the quality of the products but also whether they worth the price as well. Not many UA-camr does that, so I really appreciate it! And I knew you will compare some products with CP products, which was so helpful. I actually think the divine skies palette looks similar to sweet talk or coast to coral, wdyt? I'm also curious with their mascara bcs it looks like Michelle developed it to help Asian lashes which mostly are straight and sparse (like my lashes are!), so if you're probably placing another order in the future, maybe this is one for you to try. Also their infinite lip clouds seem very popular as well. I'm curious how they compared to 3CE velvet lip tints for example (but I know 3CE is sort of in grey area re their cruelty free status so maybe you don't have one to compare?). Anyway, so sorry for a long comment, I'm just so excited for this video, and again, thank you for another great review!! 😍
Oh and btw Judy, would you consider reviewing clean beauty brands such as Ilia? I saw Julia Adams rave about this brand a lot on her channel as well. Their int'l shipping fee is not too bad as well -- I tried placing an order on their website (haven't checked out yet bcs I just wanted to know the shipping fee). Also they have 15% off first purchase so it helps a lot. I always value your review so thank you if you'd consider!! 😊🥰
thank you for your kind words love!! i do think there is a similarity but divine skies is more muted & romantic if that makes sense? coral & sweet talk are quite bright. & yes the mascara is on my list for my next order (wont be anytime soon but one day) i also saw julia's video and will try my best to in the future! I think we have llia in nz but ill have to double check!!
OMG i have the same problem and feels as you with the packaging! the palette it's either i hurt my nails or im scared to break the packaging. The blush it's annoying when I have to constantly pump too and hardly anything comes out!
michelle phan is legit one of THE og beauty youtubers, and especially one of the OG asian beauty gurus...some day I'll be able to afford her products hahaha
yes!!! she literally was THE og beauty youtuber!!

Fellow Canadian, I feel the same. Especially ordering from US brands, we're right next door so why so expensive. The only thing stopping me from ordering Em cosmetics is shipping but I'm dying to try the brand.
@@SuperStarr817 dude the duties were $50 CAD. I almost threw up. but I live in Quebec so it might be more expensive here than in other provinces.
yes! i do hope it gets better over time which im sure it will! but will defs add the brow cream and lip liner to my wishlist for sure!
They're like glossier but even more expensive... I'll just stick to glossier for now. Also lots of Korean brands have similar if not better products for a fraction of the price! The missha moist up cushion is amazing, kiss me eyeliner, many eyeshadows (like peach c) that have similar shades

she made a video about her favourite lashes very recently!!
She literally made one a week ago. Go watch it, it’s super helpful 😊😊
i try my best to while still being cruelty free! & yes i just made a video on my favourite false lashes a week ago!!
for the pump of the serum blush, there's a specific way on how to pump out product. it's on the em cosmetics website in the How To Use section!!!
Michelle Phan was the first person I watched make up videos in high school.
now i definitely have to bite the bullet with the cushion foundation! i'm glad u had such a good customer experience, most reviewers would never even consider that an aspect of brand worth speaking about.
I was deciding whether to buy and I saw this pop up ok my notifications! Talk about timing :) thanks so much Judy!! ❤️❤️
Same!
thank you for watching!! ❤️ i hope it was helpful!

I love everything from Em Cosmetics. They are the death of my wallet!
ahhh so true!!
Theyre on Afterpay!!
Judy is honestly so naturally beautiful. This kind of makeup suits her so well! I'm now looking into the cushion foundation, thank you for the review!

These products are so cute but I do feel like they are pricey for what they are. Thanks for including good dupes for them 💕
gotta keep you guys on a budget ❤️
this deserves more views!!
The EM cosmetics blush droppers are just difficult to use you didn't get a packaging dud. Apparently you are supposed to hold it out half way then push the button down and then push it in all the way, release the button and the dropper will be loaded with the product
Its like a medicine dropper U have to push to create pressure and then when u release it sucks up the liquid...
ooooo thank u for letting me know!! i will have to try this next time i use it!
I live in Australia so 48 USD would be 65 AUD, that kind of pricing is basically the higher end stuff here 😬😩
YESSS I'VE BEEN WAITINNNNNNNNG FIR THISSSSS
thank you so much for watching ❤️
So happy you reviewed EM Cosmetics! I wanna try her new Daydream Cushion , but I do agree about the price part, its expensive imo. I'll def buy when there's a sale! Xoxo from California! :)
❤️❤️❤️
I really wanted to get the serum blush! I ended up finding a simialr product for a lower price point from a brand called QUO tho 😁
ooo ive never heard of QUO before!
The dropper on my serum blush sucks too!
I already have all these products, except for the new cushion, but I really want to hear your thoughts on the brand 😊
❤️❤️❤️ thank you for watching!!
I was definitely waiting for this one ❤️
thank you for watching love!! ❤️
You look very pretty btw!
you can alsonget the cusion refill for only $28
When I first saw you posted your EM cosmetics haul on your IG, I actually was having my cart ready for the BF sale, talk about timing!
& yes the mascara is on my list for my next order (wont be anytime soon but one day)
i also saw julia's video and will try my best to in the future! I think we have llia in nz but ill have to double check!!
Great review you always explain your opinion very well!
im glad they come across clearly!!
Have you tried setting the dream cushion with a translucent powder? Does it help with the shine?
OMG i have the same problem and feels as you with the packaging! the palette it's either i hurt my nails or im scared to break the packaging. The blush it's annoying when I have to constantly pump too and hardly anything comes out!
omg i thought i just got a dud!! hopefully they will be able to fix this!
