I've been *dying* to get into doing some _Mega Man 8_-style arrangements, myself, since it seems like no one else (other than you and the guy who did that Pirateman arrangement) can seem to get it right. +Dark Nebula I believe there is a MM7 soundfont, though I don't think it was that amazing. As I suggested to Joseph, you can download a tool called VGMTrans, where you can extract .sf2 files from the SPC rip of MM7. This is better than downloading an imperfect soundfont.

Mighty no.9 is megaman! Has the same creator of megaman! So how do you like them grapples? Megaman next generation will not work with capcom since capcom sucks!

I just think that they had a really bad composer. The sound font on the playstation is certainly more versatile than an 8-bit font, and I wish that Mega Man 8 would have used it to its full potential. I mean, Mega Man X4 didn't have a terrible soundtrack, and it was basically on the same sound font.
Mega Man 8's soundtrack is not bad, even though it sounds a lot different from previous games. It suits the vibe of MM8, IMO. However, I personally think the game should've had more tunes that sound "badass".
I really don't think MM8's music was terrible. Some were great like Frost man's theme, and some were bad like Search man's theme. Overall, it was pretty okay.
I have an insurmountable and scathing hatred of pretty much all of MM8's music and anything to do with it...but it's always the mark of a good arranger to take otherwise subpar samples or banks and make something good out of them. This is one such instance, not that I'm surprised. You've been churning out good shit for as long as I can recall, even back when I created the channel almost (Jesus!) a decade ago.
