@@ramonbril Nah, just years of making presentations in a former corporate life that I've now left for the love of gardening... I guess it was good for something.
Royal Poinciana trees are not reliable hardy. They were all lost several years ago in Central Florida when the temps. dropped into the twenties. The yellow variety did survive but suffered severe damage.
Unfortunately the outskirts of Queen Creek seem to get colder than much of the Phoenix area by a few degrees. I have 8 thermometers in my front/back yards (as you can see from the lychee shot in the outro). It's been down to 32.1F in my yard so far this year when the weather forecast said 38F... same for my neighbor who is also a gardener that I checked with. I'll definitely have the plants covered and the heaters running this coming week as I see 29F in the forecast Tuesday morning (probably down to 25F in my yard like last year).

3 weeks just above freezing. I’m on the Westside & the lowest it’s been is 38 once or twice. 🤷🏻♂️
