So far the normal Alaskan ocean surf forecast has been pretty quiet, until today. After a pretty bumpy journey we found ourselves in a Fjord & starting hearing the seas climbing quick. 9 foot seas, 11 foot seas & eventually we heard the claim 15 foot seas over the weather radio. I was absolutely stoking, but really didn't know what to expect. After some searching we pulled up to some pretty awesome head high right hand peelers. We got into some trouble, but everyone ended up alright & we ended up scoring the best ocean waves of the trip so far! FOR THE DREAM! - Ben

Laying in my warm comfortable bed in the comfort of my home here in south Orange County watching this vlog was amazing to say least. Stoke, beauty, stress, sickness, more stoke. The ultimate journey. This is called living. This video just inspired so many people Ben. I can’t thank you enough. Your the true meaning of the human spirit. Walking on a dream !

Hey Ben, here's a little trick that might help you next time you get sea sick. While on the boat or whatever look at the horizon; it's the only thing that will not be moving while you and your nearby surroundings are , and will remain in it's real position. Everything else is not moving in relation to you but is in reality, so the brain gets confused. It's how I like to explain it and definitely works. Next option is to go for a swim, which you did :). Awesome trip man, think about watching these memories in the future!
Dude come on up to Barrow for the fall storms. Biggest northernmost waves in the US. Arctic Ocean slabs with polar bears on the beach. I’ve never seen anybody else out except this one French kiter who was passing through and ripping. Seriously look at a map.
Surf'd back in 90s Area of Sitka, for a few weeks was Insane, Everything thing in Alaska is Big..member being in some areas , looking off boat seeing lights way up in the mountains, saying to myself that must be one badass mo fo living up there.
Ben that's a hell of surf spot ya found...just glad its my home break

Block one ear, go to the back of the boat when feeling sea sick. It helped get me out of a dark place on one gnarly voyage.
You should get your sea legs just about the time you get off the boat, lol!
Funny… so true about the cold water to get out of sea sickness. Also works with severe I.B.S.. would jump into my pool at 40’s water to get out of the pain and cramps, works most often then not. Seeing Ben do that brought back memories. Just don’t over eat and love cold salt water. 🥳😂🎉
The cure for sea sickness is to keep your belly full. Food, in a full stomach, does not move around. Dry bread, is a good stomach filler and carrying a little extra weight from those extra calories might keep out the cold, in the short term ! But, of course put, pressure on the joints in anyone that moves around a lot .

Fun stuff guys. Little bit like Naked and Afraid just frozen surf adventure style. Went up for help-ski a few years back and stopped at the tidal bore off Seward highway where you were first. Way to keep the dream and believe vibe alive - sweet testimony to manifesting and as laird says life as your own art form. I chipped in for that beauty and effort of going boldly and with courage and humor. Nicely played sir!
