Ages - 37, 41, 39, 41, 39, 44, 27 lol, 45, 39, and 39. Love to see Careers aren't over by 40 in Wrestling anymore. I'm curious to all the factors that changed since the 80's boom.
@@PresidentNelson Also, EVERYONE has a personal trainer now. Supposedly, there used to only be one, and if you weren't a top guy, you probably wouldn't get time with them for physical therapy.
Respect. My personal list of top 10 WWE stars right now would be (in no particular order): Finn Bálor, Rhea Ripley, Randy Orton, Roman Reigns, Cody Rhodes, Jey Uso, Bron Breakker, Oba Femi, CM Punk and Drew McIntyre. All for different reasons.
So true my favorite wrestler for the longest time was John Cena because I grew up with him And now it's Cody Rhodes because of course he's the only guy who can make me come back to wrestling after 8 years of being done with it.
Absolutely, I came up with 12 more and I purposefully left tag teams out. And Bron Breakker and Seth Rollins didn't make my cut but you could throw them in for sure.
The fact that Seth never made the list makes me think the fans are thick and seem to forget that he put all of his body on the line at maina for Cody to win.
seth was getting a little stale , lost the title got injured and hasnt done anything of note since wrestlemania. he's a good wrestler but he's done nothing for 5 months. how would that qualify him over any of the people on this list who have been working every week. right now isn't 5 whole months ago.
Simon said it in the video, it's propably because he's been mostly off TV since Mania. Which is good, he has time to spend with his wife and kid and WWE even said: He's not seriously injured atm but he's banged up (plus he has a couple of older issues like his back), so giving him some rest means he can heal up and get in top shape again. As Simon mentioned: If he does the same list again in a year, Seth will propably be in there. Regarding your argument: In-story you're right of course, and he looked to be in pretty "real" (non-kayfabe) pain afterwards. But it's still "just" a story, hadn't he been up to it, they'd found a way to get it done without him. Either way, he's one of my top 10 guys - but then, my top ten at the moment contains about 15 to 20 persons so it means very little :D
Pretty good list. But I'm with you, Simon. KO is my favorite wrestler of this generation. I always have a lot of appreciation for someone who will basically kill themselves every time they have a match. Plus, KO might have my favorite promo style of all time. He always sounds like a real person, and his delivery is loaded with ANGRY PASSION or else it's HILARIOUS with ZERO acknowledgement of just HOW HILARIOUS it is!!!
I've been a big fan of Randy Orton for his entire career. But, I think like most wrestling fans, I've always thought that he makes a much better heel. At this stage in his career, it's nothing short of JOYOUS to see him and the fans embracing his run as a face on such a MASSIVE level. I look forward to the inevitable heel turn, but seeing him have this much fun lately has been a true highlight for me as a life long wrestling fan!!!❤
For me it was always Shawn Michaels, at least in his second run, i didn't really see much of the first. And once he retired , wrestling in general just lost all interest for me back then, and it's only been since wm39 that i've been interested again for the first time since what was that, 2009/2010? All the stuff with the judgment day, bloodline, cody rhodes, cm punk coming back, randy returning.. just all awesome stuff, i actually find myself genuinely curious, and i don't even watch the shows i don't have the time, but having recaps from Mr. Golden Up Simon here, is just fantastic.
Your comment about thinking Priest may not be a WWE guy reminded me of when I first saw Kevin Owens(Steen at the time). I remember showing him to every wrestling fan I knew and saying here is a guy who is so amazing but you will never see him in WWE. His style just seemed so incompatible. I have probably never been happier to be wrong.
A small correction about Rhea, just because the true version is even more remarkable. She didn't start being her more authentic self because she was bedded in. She did it because nothing was working for her and she was so upset and frustrated that she felt like her dream was slipping away. So she said to hell with what everyone tells me to do, I'm doing it my own way. It clicked immediately and her rise began.
I'm gonna add AJ Styles, Bayley, Bianca Belair^, Jacob Fatu, Kevin Owens^, Naomi, Nikki Cross, Rey Mysterio^^ (he's the longest legacy fully active guy), Sheamus^, Tiffany Stratton. Chelsea Green and R-Truth in their own category. WWE is absolutely stacked, I only focused on singles, but there are great tag teams too. Marked are my absolute favourites.
1. Randy Orton 2. Seth Rollins 3. Cody Rhodes 4. Roman Reigns 5. Kevin Owens 6. Sami Zayn 7. Rhea Ripley 8. Drew McIntyre 9. Gunther 10. AJ Styles (CM Punk if Aj's not current enough)

L.A. Knight at #9 is a surprise. Dude is still massively over and gets some of the best pops every week. Goes to show how stacked the WWE roster is right now.
The title says the best right now, i see alot crying Rollins isnt on the list but he hasnt done anything recently, so how can he be put on a current list of the best. Simon explained this in the video. If it was the best this decade or maybe even best of all time, thats different.
Seth Rollins Seth Rollins Seth Rollins!
