this was probably one of the first k-pop song I watch. I remember watching it a couple of times on repeat just to figure out what’s the context in MV and the lyrics, I thought it was a k-drama at first. in the comments back then, it ends at a conclusion that IU is trying to heal the boy that stuck through time (kind of like male version of sleeping beauty). but he could only healed by time and will back to life somewhere in the future. IU tried to persist to wait for him but she can’t wait anymore she wants to see him back asap, so she build a time machine to leap into the future so the boy can be healed in no time and she can meet him. after she did a time travel it’s like the boy didn’t recognize her, but later stop walking out hinting he might remembers IU. the sweet thing is IU didn’t be obnoxious when meeting the boy, she was just like “pls remember me 🥹”, meaning she would let him go just in case he don’t remember her.
IU was the first K-pop Idol that I listened to and became a fan of. Her overflowing talents and Goddess-like visuals, plus her masterpieces really make her my ultimate bias.

And after that I watched MV and videos of people’s reaction to & interpretation of the lyrics. That’s when I knew that IU is not just an idol but a singer with substance. Also her personality which is really down-to-earth and she treats her staff as family & cares for her fans as well. She has established a good image as a talented, genuine and lovable artist. i think i finally got the gist of the story behind the music video here. so obviously the girl (iu) likes the guy (hyunwoo) who is unconscious for some reason. it seems as though they've known each other and she clearly wants to be with him, but she can't because she is not old enough (?). in the song she said if you play with me i like you and if i ask you, you say you like me too technically. so in the time machine thing, she goes to the future hoping that somehow he would recognize her as an adult and love her then. in the video when she was staring at the toy train you see a mini version of her imagining "fantasies" of what it could be like for the both of them when they meet when theyre older. it also shows a slight scene of when he walks into the shop as well, which is shown at the end of the video. he recognizes her and she seems to as well. Basically, overall i think the main point of this video and the song is that she didn't want him to know her true feelings yet because she's not ready and wants to become an adult first in order to be with him. that is why she wants the time to go faster and yeah. i think the music video was absolutely perfect for the song. the song is already 5 years old and i still love it like crazy. i think i finally got the gist of the story behind the music video here.
so obviously the girl (iu) likes the guy (hyunwoo) who is unconscious for some reason. it seems as though they've known each other and she clearly wants to be with him, but she can't because she is not old enough (?). in the song she said if you play with me i like you and if i ask you, you say you like me too technically. so in the time machine thing, she goes to the future hoping that somehow he would recognize her as an adult and love her then. in the video when she was staring at the toy train you see a mini version of her imagining "fantasies" of what it could be like for the both of them when they meet when theyre older. it also shows a slight scene of when he walks into the shop as well, which is shown at the end of the video. he recognizes her and she seems to as well. Basically, overall i think the main point of this video and the song is that she didn't want him to know her true feelings yet because she's not ready and wants to become an adult first in order to be with him. that is why she wants the time to go faster and yeah. i think the music video was absolutely perfect for the song. the song is already 5 years old and i still love it like crazy. (: *cries my childhood idol lol
