Hahahaha, Christmas 🎄 is my favorite time of year... I have a corner house with circle drive that's a elevated property, so visually everything pops... I've done multi-color in the past but recently went to ALL white and with 20K B-2 lights on the house 🏡 and block walls and Gates as well as landscape plants 🌱 and trees 🌲 the place looked 👀 like a Winter ❄️ Wonderland Palace... makes me feel so proud and overjoyed 😁 to see the masses that parade by throughout the season to enjoy 😊 the lights... it's also inspired many more throughout the neighborhood to put up lights as well, contributing to the spread of JOY and GOODWILL... it's my magical time of year where I take great pride in making people CRY 😭... tears of JOY 😂 for I pick a different family member every year and surprise them with a REALLY Special Gift 🎁 that just BLOWS them away... not always expensive, sometimes handmade but always extremely SPECIAL & UNIQUE to where those tears of joy will flow for sure... Some years I've done more than one but nobody ever knows who but it's always appreciated by all... for the true joy of Christmas 🎄 is giving and sharing of ourselves with others, family and friends...
In the neighborhood I lived in in Chicago, while it's against the law there to have Xmas lights outside in use beside a few months a year, the city never fined this one house. Every night of the year a huge massive tree was lit up in lights!!! I always loved that.
Next time you travel northeast check out the Dr. Seuss museum at his birthplace in Springfield MA. There's a sculpture garden there too, with pieces designed by one of his descendants.

You'll need to start planning the electrical part a.s.a.p. (running the wires, extention cords, where the outlets are etc) and then putting them up no later than the day after Thanksgiving. Before Thanksgiving would be better. Then you can switch it all on the day after when the xmas season officially starts. Looking forward to seeing your display.
I turned on my Christmas light the other day! They are solar led. It got down to 23F and we are expecting 3-4 inches of snow tomorrow night. 2020 has been such a downer that I figured I would start decorating early!

Others complain about the bugs. As a Gypsy Hearted wanderer, I always wonder how many miles do you get the square inch of bug 💥. LOL. It tis a thing and some are harder to remove than others. My worst for me; bad for them; was a bee swarm relocating on a dirt road to nowhere in Arizona. I didn't realize it was bees until I noticed the 'guts' were clear and stickier than heck. My friend decided to taste it to confirm his suspicions and announced- its Honey! Very difficult to wash off the whole front end of my car. Personally, its not about the view, its about the Journey, bugs, the 'rona, quirky and all. Great work of keeping us entertained Eric. ❣❣❣ Scratches for Jaximus.

For hanging lights on the gutters, I have always used the plastic coated paperclips. open it and hook one loop on the gutter and hang the wires in the other loop.
Get you some Super Clean at Walmart in the automotive department, it is in a purple jug. It cleans bugs off the front of your vehicle with ease. You will be amazed. You can almost spray it on and just rinse it off but it helps to wipe it off while you wash it. It is truly awesome.
Really enjoy your travels. Live St Cloud, Fl, about 20 miles from Disney. It's really sad there now, no more shows! When Disney had fireworks could hear them from our home. My sweetie use to do service work refrigeration at Disney, learn a lot of unique places people do not see/know about. We are hoping to get a Class C home in a few months. Stay safe and say hi to your fur baby. Our cat aka baby has us trained well.
A few years ago I actually bought Xmas lights at home Depot in June, was it??? The 1st day it was on floor for sale. I'm just saying....... :) I dorked out. Lol
We don't put christmas lights up because we don't want to have to take them all down again. That's why we haven't put our tree up in a few years now either. Just don't want the hassle of putting it all up and then in a few short weeks reversing that process. I'm not a grinch, but just older now, and don't have the energy really to do all that anymore.

The museum is a must see if you get the chance. The history of big corporations and some shortsighted pencil pushing executive is what killed the original First Dr Pepper bottling facility. Dublin Dr Pepper had a huge following and a unique history that should have used for marketing. Happy Trails !

Enjoy it while you can. Texas is experiencing a dramatic spike in covid19 cases and hospitalizations. My town is flying people to our of town hospitals because they're saturated here. Verge m curfew is in effect from 10pm to 5am and businesses are closing again. I love in a town of just over 700k people and they're reporting about 1300 cases a day. Gatherings are not allowed so good luck making it to Lolapalooza.

There is a Dr Pepper museum in Waco, TX. I went there over the summer and they have lots of quirky stuff. I'm a Dr Pepper lover, so it was right up my alley.
You might want to start in November getting the lights up. I’m in Ohio and I start early because it get to cold and the ground will freeze, and I don’t want to be outside trying to get them up when the snow is coming down. Dec 1 is a good time to start decorating inside the house.
How long was the train stopped? They can be stopped for many reasons: waiting for another one to pass, and emergency stop (broken coupler, or other things that cause the train to stop), crew change, etc., etc.
You can also get Dublin pop at HEB Grocery stores too, at least while you’re in Texas. :) My husband and I would love to take you out to lunch while you’re in Texas. We’re in the Austin area if you’re interested. :) Make sure to try PTerry’s while you’re here. Or we can meet you at one. :)
