Isn't it obvious ? This film released in 2002-03 when UA-cam was simply non-existent. It came in 2005.
@@siddharth.246 then how come songs of Kishore Kumar era have million likes, ofcourse this song never got it's due bcoz people these days prolly hype and over rate songs that are crappy and not meaningful soulful renditions. I am not talking about UA-cam historical trajectory rather subjective views.
@@anubhasingh3227 see my lady , comparing Kishore Kumar to Sonu Nigam is unfair to both singers. Fact is , that while our older generations carried what they liked and passed it onto us , we "midgets" (unintended slang) tried a more flexible approach. Nevertheless we , too , tried to do the same to our younger siblings , but by that time the pace and taste of music industry had changed so rapidly that today both Kishore and Sonu are lying in a forgotten corner as if they're ancient relics. Honestly , I don't have a problem with today's MUSIC , specifically speaking. But I hate how senseless and shallow some lyrics are and if some song has got those right , it's not going to last for 4 minutes.

See , I have two younger brothers apart from myself. One is hardly interested in music and the youngest one is all head over heels in love with English songs. And then you have me pleading guilty in advance. My own taste in classical Indian music/songs began in 2002 with a flop film called Dil Vil Pyar Vyar. I fell in love with songs like Kehna Hai , Ye Jo Mohabbat Hai and Raat Kali Ek Khwaab Mein Aayi. I also like Main Shayar Toh Nahin (Bobby) , which I heard for the first time in Hum Tum (2004). Now these weren't exactly remixes , just cover/reprised versions of original classics. I remember there was a time when we were surrounded on all sides by songs from Himesh Reshammiya till 2007 I believe. And since purists like you and me had no other option we stuffed our audio gear for some time. Still , we used to get many good songs from Sonu Nigam , Shreya Ghoshal from time to time with odd melodies from Rahat Fateh Ali Khan (just an example - Bol Na Halke Halke) and others. This transition kept on happening until Arijit Singh hit the scene with his Tum Hi Ho in 2013 and probably our taste and faith in good quality Indian music had been restored. But to expect the generation of that time to appreciate the likes of Kishore , Rafi and esp. Mukesh is a bit far-fetched.
Right now we're in the middle of a similar transition phase where we're surrounded by songs from Badshah and Honey Singh / Tanishk Bagchi being the composer of most numbers - to me , whatever these guys are doing is a stylish recital , but not singing. So while I am currently undergoing a physiotherapy treatment for my right elbow , I am surrounded by many young , beautiful doctors who also have gotten bored of songs like Sheher Ki Ladki (latest reprised version) and Dheeme Dheeme (Tony Kakkar) but still they play them all the same as they don't have options.
And yet , they share common favorites with me - Tum Hi Aana (Jubin Nautiyal , Marjaavaan) , Chale Aana (Armaan Malik , De De Pyaar De) , Ghunghroo (Shilpa Rao and Arijit Singh , War) , .
In return , I don't have issues with listening to songs like Hauli Hauli (Neha Kakkar) , The Wakhra Song (film Judgmental Hai Kya) and Kya Baat Hai / Naah Goriye (Harrdy Sandhu).
You might find it demeaning , but I believe my life is like my taste. I don't fall for bread / vegetables. Instead I'm fascinated by curries and condiments like Chutney , Sauce , Mayonnaise. So I think I go with almost anything , blend with almost anyone (if that's not sounding too boastful of myself).
Can't believe we heard this masterpiece 20 years ago. Time flies....

Anand Raj Anand has a different voice compared to playback singers of his time so his use was rather limited to singing for himself but he had that nice power which I want in a male singer! His " Dil De Diya Hai" was a RAGE! I love his chartbusters dance numbers more which he was the #1 in Bollywood compared to his competitors! His favourite album are his debut with Inder Kumar and Ayesha Takia as well as KAANTE! I love the tune used before each verse begins as I find it therapeutingly haunting as this is a SAD song! But I am amazed at the tune b4 the verse(Try listening closely to it now and you will know what I mean) @@aditya3david

Another underrated element is the unheralded composer Anand Raj Anand who probably delivered the most diverse original soundtrack for a movie with not much scope for songs as it's a gangster movie. This songs is soul stirring and hits very deep as it relates to everyone in different ways. ARA showcased his talents here as this was his Magnum Opus
Actually the real fact is that most of the people dont get the inner meaning of this song..for this reason the masterpiece song like this one got under rated till today..because its our fault that we dont have the real taste of such a masterpiece song..most of the people also dont even watch this movie at that period(its an international level movie)its our fault..
