That crunchy bass, the drums, the distorted geetars....man this is peak 90s shit right here
rest in peace Garry Young. Hope you’re drumming your heart out wherever you are❤
@PrototheDito My lifelong friend from the age of 8 yrs old. Maybe not the best drummer but damn, he played his ass off and was an asset when not too high.
God Stephen is so talented and proficient on the guitar
A trick: watch movies at kaldrostream. Me and my gf have been using it for watching lots of of movies recently.
@Titus Rodney definitely, I have been using KaldroStream for since december myself =)
@Titus Rodney definitely, been using kaldroStream for since december myself =)
Seeing this video helped me understand the 'slacker' mentality. Show up, access the serious emotions and the rock star vibe, then just fuck around till it's actually cool
The absolute essence of 90s rock!
RIP Gary
the true spirit of rock!
Funny enough, them and The Smashing Pumpkins were my favourite act there. Manic Street Preachers kicked ass too
I love this song so much , 10/10 it has everything
Gary young!!!!
Malkmus is a dream boat
Saw them wednesday, requested at&t a million times, didn't play it, still awesome tho
Greatest band of all time
love this performance
me 2... realizing that i love every single performance... each is unique
they sound incredible live!
love this song. great band. saw them live many years ago in Brazil.
love you Bob
Love how fried the guitar soundz
Great band! Thanks!
Stephen rocking out at 1:46 tho XD
I dont know why I've listen many many times to pavement albums but never gone out of my way to hear their first and last ones. Im a weirdo.
so good
i love this
wow!... man unleashed !
Awesome!!
Iconic
i fckn love you
so fucking cool
Yes
"Don't ask me to say it twice"
These guys gots some weird ass last names juss sayin’.
Man is Spiral's guitar so quiet. Just imagine if Pavement had duel guitar solos like the Beatles on Revolver.
Back when the crowd watched and had fun instead of filming with their mobiles
Well, today we, the crowd, also have fun and with our cells. At Idles' last gig before 'rona I throwed mine far flung in the sky and picked it up 2 hours later. I'm an old timer, though; dunno if a millennial would've done it. Maybe (Grounded).
Soundman turn the geetars up please. Then again the same problem with the studio version as well. Still my fave Pave ditty.
Wowee Zowee!
This song is amazing, their first record definitely changed my life. Unfortunately they never reached that peak again
Cristian Sanzana Me refiero a ésta generación, yo a esa edad tenía 2 años, no se si intentas entenderme.
Funny how they need 2 drummers for one of the easiest drum beats I know 😂
Story is the only reason they hired the second drummer was a back up in case their first drummer got too drunk to play lmao
There are no easy or hard drum beats. What makes every drum beat hard is to keep it exactly the same throughout the entire song.
@@franciscleary6544 I agree tempo is the most important thing about drumming, I play drums. But there are definitely difficult drum beats and easier drum beats. That’s pretty straight forward
This is soo insane. Fuckin Malkmus!!
Oh wait I just noticed the fan on the stage was that back then to make them look cool or to actually cool them down?
I saw this on a late-night TV programme presented by Gary Crowley? Does anyone know what it was called?
Slacker Guitar Hero!
i definitely prefer the remastered version
A Stephen ma come cazzo te vesti. Sei fiqo lo stesso, però.
stevo lipi tić
Slacker Song
Only grunge rockers and artist majors can make wearing red and green cool and not Christmasy.
How is Stephen getting that effect on his guitar for the lead guitar lines he plays? Any ideas what he's using?
If I remember correctly, both SM and Spiral Stairs used the Lovetone Big Cheese. Which is a Big Muff clone with added features, if my memory does not fail me.
Hope that helps.
Not enough drummers. Otherwise brilliant.
horrible as always
you and your mother must have a lot of free time to pay attention to a band you hate
steve and his goofy ass outfit😞
I’ve never seen a band that looked like they were having so much playing live while simultaneously seeming to hate the experience the entire time 😂 love Pavement
EXACTLY.
