How about the lack of buttons on dash ? I hate touch screen buttons. Currently got a quote on M60i and then I realised it’s got this long screen from dash to cluster and no buttons 😢
I like your video, nice job. I think you’re inaccurate regarding towing capacity, however. The M60i will tow over 7000 pounds and a factory trailer hitch is under $700. The X5M’s towing capacity is under 2000 pounds and, last time I looked, you could not get it with a factory hitch. That means that thousands of dollars to install, if you can find a dealer to do it. Otherwise, you risk voiding the warranty.
How do you like it so far? I am leaning toward M60I for myself as well. It will never see the track. Did you buy the maintenance or extend warranty? What size tires?
@@wj2791 I didn’t buy maintenance and tire package I own automotive shops. I love the car it performs like a beast and drives amazingly. The only thing I have a problem with is the car play connection it takes a while to connect or I have to do a hard reset, and there has been updates and it got better but still not perfect.
the price gap is quite significant. All considerations aside, the MC is definitely way more superior. It even comes with that drum stick gear shifter which lots of us do miss
I’m in the process of choosing the M60. Getting the same engine that’s in the XM was a huge factor, plus saving over $30K. I figure in a year or two BootMod3 or in house BMW will have a stage 1 tune adding over 100 hp which will make the M60 even closer to the X5 M.
I chose the M60i as I couldn't afford the M performance model. Also many people say the track car isn't nice in the roads. If you had the money, two worthy cars
@@Digga_10 taking money out of the equation (def a factor), the ride quality and MPG’s were a deal breaker on the X5 M. Not worth it for a car that will be a family hauler 95% of the time. Plus, I figure BootMod3 will have a stage 1 tune out shortly for the M60 which will bump the power levels up to the X5 M.
@@ryanflores2281 feel the exact same, my only concern is the way to make the V8 heard. All the reviews say X5M is track focused, that's not a family daily drive car
I cross shopped an M60i vs the PHEV 50e, and besides the sound, I could NOT distinguish power difference. (I am coming out of a 2021 M550i) 43 electric miles and 30+ mixed mpg’s was the determining factor for me. I do miss the V8 growl, but couldn’t justify the $500+/mo payment and $250+ monthly fuel bill. Cross shop the 24’ X5 50e you will be shocked, (as I was)
It is unfortunate M550i is gone. These clients want a V8 and nothing else, including several friends who have one. The next best bet to beat MPGs are the 50e models. The M760e xDrive would be nice in X5 and 5 series
The Interior on the Comp is the Titts for one. Not to mention the roar of the exhaust. You'll wreck messing with that stupid unsightly touchscreen panel on the 2024. Lastly, what you should have said is this 2021 MC is currently at around $80K vs. 2024 M60 at $106K. NOW which would you pick!???
Well to be fair the 2024x5m has the same big screen and all the LCI updates and is about 30k more than the M60i. It really depends on what you want. I’d take the m60i for daily driving as it’s much more compliant and smooth but not lacking in power. Plus I have a 660whp f87 m2 6spd for all my other needs.
Why are you comparing a completely revamped 2024M 60 with it 2021 previous generation M competition? Shouldn’t you be comparing it with a 2024M competition? In fact don’t the 2024s have the same S 68 engine? And didn’t they eliminate the M designation in 2024 they simply have the M 60 and the M competition. There is no longer a.m. Another mismatch in this comparison attempt.
What recommendations do you have? I am having fun and filming cars on my extra time. Basis for the video was why pick one over another? You are too detailed in the way you think. I spark conversations and don't speak in absolutes.
@@theautointuitive3172 it was a nice video, but it just stands to reason that it should’ve been comparing the 2024 M60 to the 2024 M Competition. If you look at the comments, the question most people have is which 2024 model to buy ie; the 2024 M60 or 2024 M Competition (not the 2024 M60 v.s. a previous years M model). I actually just bought a 2024 M60 and had to determine the differences from the 2024 M competition (besides price) on my own. i dont think that's nardo gray, i believe it is Brooklyn Gray. (I could be wrong, but I highly doubt it :) )
Brooklyn Gray. Thank you for commenting
I owned a 2022 X5 M Comp. Just traded it for the new X5 M60i. I actually like the M60i better. It’s plenty fast and is a nicer right.

Currently have both. The M60 is….”F-ing sick”. I was surprised.

X5 M60i Multiple runs a 3.92 sec 0-100km in a dirty standard road, how much faster do you need 😆
Plaid baby! That's how fast!
I went with M60I because of 30k difference and it’s my daily driver
