Ayre AX 5 Twenty. USA made. Great sonics, build and service/support. I'm happy.

No mention of Rotel so far..?

The Michi line looks interesting. I'm a bit concerned about Rotel's resale value unless I get a dirt cheap used unit

Well, grab your smartphone an IFI Go Blue and a nice set of IEM’s..relax, breath and enjoy the music.

I purchased my system in 2008 and would never consider changing it. A Cayin A50T EL34 based amp, Triangle Comete ES speakers, and Yamaha CD-S2000 SACD player. It's simple and it gets the job done. it doesn't sound realistic and it doesn't get loud but I've been down that rabbit hole before and it's just too much effort and a complete waste of time and money [Even $500k systems aren't perfect]. I simply want to enjoy the music and relax.

This one is a keeper. Then again, I said the same thing about my last system as well. There is nothing I would change about the Luxman.

If resale value is truly important and I think it is I would go McIntosh maybe that 8900 integrated first and Luxman second.

Hi, there is a lot to choose. Just think of specific countries and their audio brands like Italy with Unison Research and Pathos, Denmark with the Gato 150 amp, France with Jadis etc etc. Difficult but challenging…..

Why concern yourself with the DAC section within an integrated amp when there are so many high quality stand-alone DACs available?

I was in the same boat several months ago, and I'd be remiss not to tell you to give Hegel another look. I had the same feelings about the DAC - but after a demo of the H390 I was sold. In this case it has a DAC and no phono stage. But, the DAC is so good that I figured I'd have to spend way more on a DAC to get to that level than I would on a comparable phono stage. It's really a fantastic unit all around and there are some good open box deals to be had. Oh, BTW I took a chance on the Nagaoka JT80 BK after watching your video, and I couldn't be happier. I also have the SL-1200GR, and it really is a great fit. Thanks for the suggestion!

I'll do that. I'm glad the JT-80 is working out. The JT-80 is definitely under the radar

Better you look into Nagra or Audio Note UK Sound. Anything else is waisting your efforts.

Luckily, I’ve been so busy with work, I would not have time to listen even if I wanted to :)
