No kidding!!! I just received an order from Esveld recently, last Friday. There were also 3 maples and I have uploaded a short with the opening of the cardboard box and the presentation of them. The truth is from there they are all great, I have ordered almost 20 maples last year and they are all very good. In your case I really like the Ariadne, I found it in Madrid but it sold for 700 euros because it was quite large. Its leaves are excellent and quite colorful with sun exposure and then some will burn in the hot summer. I have had the Orange Lace but I have removed it this year because it grew very quickly and it bothered me in my terrace design. I hope that it goes very well for you with this maple and with the others as well. You already know that thanks to you I have ordered several from Hackmann and Nielsen. Now I'm waiting for a shipment from Hackmann with the "Glamour" and "Golden Treasure". You got angry and changed the name from "Glamour" to "Trompenburg". Hackmann says that Glamor is an exclusive variant of theirs, as is Red Nails. We will continue enjoying until the leaves fall
That is indeed a funny coincidence! I did not know that you are still buying so many new trees as your balcony is also very packed already. Where do you put all those new trees? Interesting that you had an Orange lace already. Is it also in one of your videos? Does it get good fall color? I am really excited about Ariadne and wondering a little bit as I did expect a slightly different leaf shape but maybe it will change a bit on older trees. Golden treasure I was also always thinking about getting one. Maybe when I see yours thriving.^^ I was not angry about Glamour, was I? But yes, it is very similar to Trompi but not the same. The one I own I def. bought as Trompenburg. But it does not look that good this year. It did not grow much. I think I will visit Hachmann again this fall as I was not there in spring. But I really cannot buy more this year. :( ...only if I could get a new Purple ghost... or a Mikazuki... or a Moonrise... or...! ;))
@@Acerdorer hey! I’m happy you are back with the vice already 😄! I’ve deleted the video where it was “Orange Lace”, for few views and less interest on it. From my terrace I removed because it was very leafy but also the maples order was different too last year. Now it is growing down in the urbanization but a dog bit it and left a small branch, I will see what will happen to it later. The fall colour is very awesome! For me is similar with a mixture from Jerre Schwartz and Orange Dream but you will see your better his fall color next year not this one. I’ve seen in 2 occasions the spring and the fall in Ariadne, is absolutelly amazing!!!! You got it finally and I will watch your videos in fall and next spring. His veins and shades are ok at full sun in spring and shadow in summer…is a bit crunchy in hot summer also. About Glamour I was inspired from you last 2 years I guess and finally I will have mine. Yes…I “have” space by placing 2-3 maples together depending on their size. Of course when I’m changing with new varieties, I’m doing latelly bonsai from some older with 3-4 years of having grown up on my terrace. Soon I will put a short with one called “Brandy’s Dwarf” wich I converted about 2 months ago in a bonsai. Right now are other trying to survive called Seyriu as a bonsai also. So my space is so bushy but very cool for me at the same time, is like a forest, maybe over 60 varieties with all the size. The place where this tree was Brandy’s Dwarf, now are Red Wood and exiles like this in doing lately. Other cultivars I gave away already for open the space, “normal” cultivars. Now from Hackmann I have to wait until mid of September and I will grab a video when will be the fall because they are green now. I have the Mikazuki and Moonrise, some shorts of them are on my “short” collection if you wanna to watch them.
@fisiomanuales I have Ariadne and many other japanese maples awarded the AGM (Award of Garden Merit) by the RHS (Royal Horticultural Society) in the UK. Now I'm trying to purchase newer plants that are building a good reputation and avoiding acers like Taylor that are proving unreliable.
Thanks for all these infos again!😊 For sure I have to check out more of your clips in the future. To be honest I am not so much into video shorts but I understand that for todays generation it is totally common and better to get more views and publicity. Hope you will get some nice trees from Hachmann then and that they will arrive in good condition in sept. For Bonsai I don`t have enough patience... maybe one day, who knows. Next year I probably have to get rid of my big bamboo to gain more space on the balcony. For me it is already too packed and I don`t want to push the trees too close together. So everyone has his own liking.😄
@@Acerdorer ua-cam.com/users/shortsSBHXL4trIlQ?si=vNHF5PD8CDwOQV2_. Hello again and thanks for reply! Here you have the link with the first leaves in spring of Mikazuki, are another short later in May but this one is ok. I like very much the large videos more than 1 minute but I didn’t had the patience to learn how I have to cut sequences and put like you those subtitles. With the shorts seems to be easy to write anything with the UA-cam options and this is the reason why I’ve made many short video than normal videos. I’m thinking maybe in this autumn I will make a large video and having more options to watch many angles of the views as I have only a big forest in my terrace. I don’t know if many UA-cam users have a priority to watch quick videos as a short or good patience for the full large video. I’m 45 🤓 so I can’t judge this new generations either… The only thing I’m doing here is to share what I’ve learned to do as your channel has been the greatest inspiration for me and learned a lot from your experience with your Japanese maples varieties and also very important from your visits at these nurseries. About the bonsai I have had to learn the basic techniques to be able to modify the large root balls and then place these trees in small pots. Now this technique is useful for me to reduce the largest maples into bonsai, which then take up less space and I have also given as gifts to friends. I understand vert well your case with your balcony and now I’m curious what are you going to put in that place removing the bamboo.
I wonder if Esveld has acer palmatums Mila and Katja? Unfortunately because of the unwanted Brexit in the UK, I don't know how to contact this Netherlands nursery now, although I do know that both these acers were the late Dick van der Maat introductions.
Mila they don't have.😔 Otherwise I also would have taken one. Brexit...well... Before, I also ordered some maples from UK from Stephen Roff via eBay. I don't remember a specific nursery name. Maybe you also know them already.
