Does a Beard Straightener Work on Black Hair? | How To Use a Beard Straightener (REVIEW)

Have you ever wondered if beard straighteners work on black beard hair? So I bought a beard straightener on amazon for like $18.99 ( mainly because it came with beard oil, beard balm, and a beard comb), but will it work on my coily beard texture? If it does, I guess this will be a how to use a beard straightener on black hair video lol.

You should do it from the back under side too, mix in a normal comb to push the hairs properly through the beard straightener

I want to know what were the changes in your beard texture after using the heat brush over a period of time. I can't speak for the brush , but years ago I started using a blow dryer on my beard and it looked amazing for a couple weeks, then thats when I KNEW I MESSED UP......DRYED IT OUT and I had to cut it all of and start again from scratch because of heat damage........So please do another video or update video on you experience using it over a long period of time and how often did you use the brush.......Thank you

The biggest problem with using a heat straightener for type 4 afro hair is that everyday usage will cause heat damage. The satin beard guard at night is great. Cotton pillows are a disaster for type 4 hair. These days I don't use heat at all. I keep it in twists at night and even when I wash. I did not think that mine could grow this long until I started keeping it in protective styles. I have to admit that I went through an "ugly" stage when it was shorter. I needed to make about a half dozen twists or so and looked like Buckweat on my face. Now it is long enough for just one or three twists total and actually look good cause it hangs down my chest.

Brother it’s not keen to be used every single day. Just once a week and it’ll stay straight for usually 3-4 days if you’re using your oils and combing it out

@@707josh I'm retired now so I have time to just let my beard air dry after daily showers. When I had to be at work everyday, I felt like I needed to blow dry to get out the door on time. That led to split ends that needed to be trimmed on the regular. Now I never get spilt ends and my beard has twice the length.
