@@MichelleandAlineI use mine to store garlic! lol it is forever the garlic jar bc the lid reeks lol Nowadays I buy the giant jar of Kirklands raspberry jam and decant into a smaller jar … one nice thing abt being an adult is the costco membership 😂
The "Marmorkuchen" looks exactly like from a German supermarket. We have multiple flavors of these. I especially love the marzipan one 🤤 I had no idea that there was this much German influence in Chile (I am from Germany).
Love your videos! ❤ Peeping the bottle on your nightstand - if you take “V” - I’m on it too, and it gets so much better after 3ish months! At least for me + my anxiety. Rooting for you!
ahh really?? so good to know, thank you! 💘 maybe i’ll have to stick it out! unfortunately, i’ve also been struggling with sleep and acne on it so we’ll see 🫣
@@MichelleandAline and I will say that the clientele there does tend to be a little bit more stuffy, shall we say. Your perception of that was right on. I still enjoy the artwork, though.
only at the beginning of the vid with you talking about anxiety, but pausing to say: just remember when you're physically unwell, your body is gonna be way too tired to cope with any other issues. i find if i catch a cold, my ocd will sneakily take over as im too depleted to fight the mind battles. so maybe its the same for you and maybe the meds aren't totally to blame. hopefully they start to balance out soon or you find another that works better cause anxiety is the absolute worst 💗 also as someone who once worked as a tour guide (which included security things) for a historic house.. i think the staff couldve been kinder! if i had to tell someone off i would always play it in a 'sorry but you cant take photos of this, i know it sucks, such a lovely painting though right?!' coz i def never wanted anyone to feel small when they were having a day out!! nobody wants to learn or explore in a stuffy environment!! 🫠
"Sahne Nuss" and "Marmor Kuchen" are indeed German words😊 "Marmor Kuchen" means marble cake - because a slice (kinda) looks like marble. I'm craving an after eight right now 😂
After eights are definitely of British origin if you will haha, they would always be offered after dinner parties or after a roast dinner on a Sunday. I hated them as a kid, they seemed too adult and ‘boring’, plus I think I was scared of dark chocolate haha, but I can smash through half a box as an adult 😅😂
If you ever try Argentinian alfajores, go for Jorgitos or Milkas, they’re awesome ❤. Love a solo museum date, hence I don’t like the fact that we need an emotional support buddy for that one, I hate those snobbish museum vibes 🥲 hope you have a better experience in your next solo outing Michelle ☺️
oh my goodness, honestly, this is always what I imagined the Cafe Sabarsky experience would be like...and now I know that it is not the place to go for a nice afternoon by my self. Brave girl!! You got out there and you saw it and now you won't go back and that's okay!
Honestly nobody is more touchy than NYC museum security lol, I've gotten told off for pointing at art before at the Met. I feel like every time I try and go to a museum they're sooo overly touchy for some reason - so it's not just you girl!
you're so sweet! thank you!! our dad is chilean and our mom's family (who are from new zealand) moved there because of her dad's job when she was in high school! we were both born there and lived there until ages 10 and 13 🥰
As someone who's always loved doing things by herself, I think this is awesome! People need to do more things by themselves!
yes!! absolutely agree 🥰 so so important!
We have After Eight in Canada and they are LIFE. I used to get the individually wrapped ones for halloween as a kid
My favourite UA-cam duo ever, thank you for your lovely energy! 💌
The security guards story was sending me 😂 so stressful hahaha
lmaoooo truly they were coming for me that day i swear!!
Why did I never realise After Eights are meant to look like tea!!!!!!! I'm from the UK and also grew up with these :)
A great way to end a Sunday!! Always enjoy yours and Aline’s vids!! ❤❤❤
yaaaay! happy sunday!! 🥰
I really felt you on the feeling told off! Sending you lots of love and good vibes Michelle!
Aline 😂 ‘a casual cake’ ‘cake in jeans’ 😂😂😂
What a great vlog!!! Please go on more solo adventures and let us know what you like!
ahhh so so happy you enjoyed! will bring you along for more!! 💘
i am always down to see people's nostalgic, childhood foods. love it
I did not have Michelle accidentally disproving jam jars as leakproof by carrying one around the city on my 2024 Bingo Card. 😂
lol humiliating!! 🤦🏻♀️🤦🏻♀️

The nostalgic treats segment was hilarious and had me reminiscing about a Chilean childhood I didn't even have. 😂

I was just in Chile for 3 weeks and let me tell you how much cheese Ramitas and chocolate Kukys hit while I was backpacking. Oh lawd
The unboxing segment filled my Chilena soul 🥹💖
