I haven't smelt those yet, but since you're starting to really get into the Oud note, i'd suggest putting your nose on Daniel Josier's "Mystery Oud". Really good stuff.
These are some FIRE deep cuts. Honestly one of the best reviewers to do it... Almost none of these are under 50 bucks though! Like, Caron is 71 euro.

I haven't bought the Pure yet, it's on my list. But just yesterday i had my bottle of Artisan Blu come in.
I don't care for most "blue" colognes, but this one is just so smooth and refreshing. Perfect for warm weather. Do check it out.

Speaking of Fresh and clean, my husbands bargain cologne started to switch to cheaper chemicals in the manufacture of it ( I guess? ) and it was not doing him any favors any more. I looked and looked and come up with Pure Water at dollar tree. I'm not kiddn, it may not last all day but he sure smells clean in the morning. He's 62 but looks 50 and he is working in an office all day and I don't need him smelling too good ya know. LOL.
My two favorites Acqua Di Parma Colonia and Eau Sauvage by Dior
They are higher than 50 bucks.
A good cheapie is on my list is Nautica Yoyage and Burberry Touch.
I just copped that Burberry its fire
Voyage gets me multiple compliments a day.

Three of the best highly versatile, all-season fragrances for under $50 I have come across out of the dozens of fragrances I've smelled are as follows: Best quality, Guerlain Vetiver; best value, Aspen; and a good quality/value compromise, Paco Rabanne pour homme.

Are these good for any man or are they specific?
I don't know why people keep pushing the Varvatos fragrances. They're performance is the worst I've ever experienced, and I generally get great performance from most all fragrances I try. Yes, it's cheap. But if you have to bathe in it, it kills the cost effectiveness. I'd rather pay more for something that I can apply 5 sprays and have it last, rather than 10-15 sprays a day.
Yeah. I got it on. It evaporates after 2 hours. Maybe even earlier. It smells good but not long lasting.
Carolina Herrera is a great brand! I wore CH 212 For Men all through college (2005-2010). The bottle made women so wet I nicknamed it "the super soaker". It was out of control!
But around 2016 a re-formulation must have occurred. Originally slightly oily and very long-lasting, "212" got cheap and the frag went all watery. Still same scent but didn't last.
Got sick of re-applying the watery frag and ditched it for 1 Million Lucky, which I like but others think is so-so.

stick to the Arabic houses they last longer and are decently priced..the brand Armaf- Club de unit intense( copies creed Aventus good for all seasons) Club de unit Milestone( Copies Creed Milisime Imperial good for summer) Rasasi- Entebaa( all seasons) Rasasi Hawas( inspired by Paco Robanne Invictus) summer/ clubbing scent..dont buy them at the mall prices are around $29 for intense to Hawas $50
