Hi Julie! Great ideas for those sets or one skein wonders 😉👍. But could you please add the meters and mm when telling us about your ideas for your international and Canadian friends ☺️ - thank you! Just discovered you and will look at more videos of yours. Happy knitting 🧶
The Weak Moral Fiber Shawl by Fatimah Hinds or the Floodlight Mini by Tanis Lavallée are the types I patterns I think of for alternatives to socks for sock sets.
I love all of your ideas!! The Grimblewood Gnome is part of a whole set!! The designer has a book with several gnomes and some accessories. Really cute! And that drawstring bag is delightful! Thank you!! I save almost all the pattern ideas in my Ravelry favorites!
Great video idea! I’ve seen so many pretty sock sets that have interested me but I’ve never knit socks in my life haha. Getting all the inspiration, thank you!
After I finish the project I’m working on I so want to do that drawstring bag 🤔 or maybe I’ll start now since I don’t have specific bags for my knitting projects 😊
Oh my goodness. I’m watching this while I’m working on a baby blanket. And thinking the whole time do I have the needles free to make that. - oh I can cast that one on too! Then I got an alert that my yarn of the month is in the mail! 🎉 I really want to make the sock head hat!
Hi Julie Great to be inspired by more pattern ideas for sock sets or single skeins The Sock Head Cowl is another goodie 👍And the Twinkle and Spark Cowl (Hannah Woodhead), Wolkig (Martina Behm) The Wrist Ticklers (Kaye Jones) also come to mind and of course the Musselburgh beanie Escanda (Belen Fernandez) and Tassels In The Sky (Vincent Villapando) and Close To You (Justyna Lorkowska) and Workday Scarf (Sue Flanders) are all free patterns and perfect for that lone skein or sock set💜🐨
How do you feel about knitting socks with YAOU Cotton Socks Yarn? Or if I were to use the yarn for a newborn blanket? I have absolutely no previous experience with cotton yarn except for dishcloths. Thank you!
I wouldn’t be using a sock yarn, approximately $30 cdn, and 20gm mini-skein approx. $8-10 cdn for a draw-string bag. That’s a pretty expensive bag. Definitely something I’d use an acrylic and much cheaper yarn for.
Fingerless mittens and beanie is very tempting to knit
Let me know if you do!
Those fingerless mitts are adorable
I know right? So adorable 😍
Great ideas! That little guy is so cute, maybe I will try that one.
I hope you do! Let me know if you start it.
Great ideas! I'm all about those gnomes!!!
I am too! They are adorable
Thank you for the inspirational video. Bringing some gnomes home♥️
You are so welcome! 😊
I love the gnomes!
I do too! Can’t get enough.
The gnomes are adorable but I lobe the slouchy hat. Thank you for this!
You are so welcome!
That sock set would really make a nice striped hat.
Oh, now that’s a great idea!
Loved these ideas! Thanks for sharing! 😊
Gnedward of Grimblewood is ADORABLE! Would love to try that one. So many great ideas though!

I've added the ribbed hand warmers to my to-do list...as if I need another project. Thanks, Julie!
Happy I could help give you some ideas ☺️

These are great ideas! I loved the Purl Soho bag...so fun with some contrasting stripes in there, too!
I know right? I’m in love with it too.

What does "sock set" mean in American?
A sock set is typically a 100gram skein of yarn with a 20g mini skein :) Making it perfect for knitting up some socks.
These are truly great patterns, but they are scrappy or for one skein. Not sock set patterns. Thanks for a great podcast anyway.
Do you crochet
I don’t. I only knit 🧶
