I totally agree with you points, No brand is perfect but a car should run straight out the box maybe not optimally but it should function before any tuning
Most cars I have had run to an extent out the box, can't think of any that can't run around a track. If you buy an RTR remote control car, then they are set up to run out the box. If you buy a computer you expect it to turn on, maybe you have to add some more RAM or download some updates but certainly not build it. The issues Marty @twolinesslotcars had were crazy. No way you should have to centre axle holders on a prebuilt car.
Awesome Video Paul And I love your Honesty. It’s an out the Box Car therefore it should Run. As you say it’s not a Kit. And this is the issues I have with RevoSlot for the money you pay it should run straight out the box !!!!!!
Yep, the only difference between the white kit and this is that you get s badly fitted body. I would actually pay the difference for the body but when it comes presented in a box fully assembled, your expectation is you can run it. #runsstraightoutthebox
I like your opinion, it'd be great to get a follow up video on what you ended up needing to do to actually get it working so, the average Joe can appreciate what to expect and, if they have enough extra money to buy the tuning parts 👍🏻
Very valid points Paul, I can understand where you are coming from, especially for the asking price!! I hope you get it sorted. Man, these 510s are lookers though. 👍
Hey Ryan, I am maybe looking at selling the car. To get these cars running well you need to fully strip and check every component. They perform well and are easily some of the best looking cars you can buy. The issue I have is the lack of communication by the company in the product your buying. If your buying a car in a box on a presentation stand then I expect it to run. It seems like issues are widespread and common on these cars. I have emailed Revo about these issues. I will be making another video in the future about Revoslot.
@@SlotCar2021I don't blame you at all, Paul! You have every right to feel the way you do about the outcome. I am just sad it worked out that way, especially as excited as we all were about a Datsun 510 model being made, and by Revo, especially. All we can hope is the customer service dept. and QA steps it up a notch for Revo so this ends quickly, they take care of their customers, and it doesn't carry to other models in the future. I appreciate your video and letting everyone know about these issues (I would of bought one without even knowing). It is a heck of a lot of cash to drop on one car as you said, and for it not to perform out of the package is unacceptable. Hope this all works out and I'm sorry you are having to part ways with it due to negligence on their part.
@@SlotCarHooliganDon't be put off buying one, all the issues can be fixed. It just takes time to get them going. I was just being honest about my experience.
@@SlotCar2021Appreciate the honesty, Paul! And no worries, you didn't scare me off at all. I'm sure it is a bit of a letdown though, even still. Maybe this will be the year I get my first Revo. I really do love the 510. 👍
you should be at least be able to put it on the track and it runs even if its poorly and you know it needs tweaking , you cant even test whether you have bought a dud or not and thats most important that the motor turns and is reciveing leccy lol
Yeah it is bad, it's like you buy a car and they say sorry it needs oil in the car and the gearbox isn't meshing so it needs to be looked at or the wheels are rubbing at the moment. You would ask for your money back. If you bought a kit car then you expect a fair bit of setup.
@@SlotCar2021 that’s exactly what I tried to convey the other week about a Kit car you’d be expecting to do a fair bit of work to get it running but that’s why a kit car is cheaper than the real deal not the other way around lol premium price for a kit car basically
Yeah that was the point the car does not have to run optimally cause eventually you tweak the car to your driving style but in order to tweak it needs to run even suboptimally it still needs to run :) this 512M was easy to get going

100% and nuts, grub screws should be tight and gears meshing!
Exactly Rahul 100% agree
I agree, it should run out of the box. Unfortunately there are not many brands out there that actually do....
Good video Paul!!!!!!

Excellent points made Paul, hopefully someone at Revoslot will see this and take notice???
We can only hope Rob

100%, I have got it running now and there were some issues so will be good to go through those and see it going round the track.
