thank you so much Stu. We are playing "I'll Fly Away" in my uke group and this new technique will add some perfect texture and interest to my playing of this lovely song. I'm off to practice! Cheers from Barb in Adelaide, Australia.
I love this technique that gives an irresistible country sound to ukulele🤠! And I'm so happy that you teach us "I'll FLy Away" ....this tune is part of my great favorite song (by Alison Krauss and Alabama in particular, but there are so many that I have not heard! ) I look forward!🐥
Hi Stu... Thanks so much for this lesson... Just tried it out and sounds fantastic! Your short tips are invaluable and make it so much more fun to experiment... top marks from me 😀
Thanks L J! Glad you’re digging what I’m offering. These little nuances can add a lot to the strumming foundation of any song 😊🎶 Play on & please feel free to share the video. Be well, Stu
Funny, that's how I taught myself to play the D chord also, since I have long fingers and I couldn't wedge three fingers on one fret. I find it's easier to transition to other chords by using this method
Thanks Ed - the strings are made by a company that is sadly no longer in existence (the person who made them passed away). You can get pretty close with Thomastik-Infield jazz guitar strings. Another option is to use Low G uke string with a. wound low G string
Keep at it! If you can say it, you can play it...just go slow enough to bring the voice & hands together. Thank you for watching...More resources for your music journey with your membership support at www.patreon.com/ukulelezen
