      Can you guy's make a video on best community fish combo's.
      Bcoz there's alot of confusion regarding this on the internet for example some say angel fish + neon tetra is a bad combo some say guppy + angel fish is bad, some say both these combos are fine n will work.....

    I love bristlenose plecos. I had one in my guppy tank, the fry survival rate quadrupled when I added him because the fry would hang out in his cave and the other fish wouldn’t go in there. He was like their cool uncle lol.

      my pleco is my favorite! everyone says theyre shy, require driftwood, and not social. Well its true hes not social, ignores every other fish as if hes king of the tank. Rarely touches the driftwood. Ignores the soft black sand completely, lays on gravel. My biggest mistake early was not feeding him. I fed other fish extra and felt he would be fine with scrapps. They need their own waffers abd other assortment of food. Have fun!

    • @bryanplaza3031

      The hardest ones must be flower horns or arowanas because sometimes you have to sacrifice a life to get the arowanas eggs out of his mouth and you need a cage to breed flower horns because they will fight each other until death

    I have angelfish for some 30 years now as community fish. Sure they can be agressive when breeding, but if your tank is 1 meter or more, they jus occupy a small spot in the aquarium for the other fish to keep out. Also you can facilitate a breeding spot, for example in the corner of the aquarium.

  • @peterherrington3300
    @peterherrington3300 4 роки тому +7

    Agree with 9 out of 10 choices.
    Angel fish (in my experience) can be aggressive territorial little sods that disrupt the harmony of a chilled community gathering.
    Probably the cichlid side coming out .
    The other 9 choices , spot on .
    Add 1 sub from England

      I have to agree with you. I just removed my beloved angel from our tank because it became a little nippy towards the swordtails and my wife's beta. Between the swordtails, the beta, the tiger tetras, the neon tetras, the danios and the plecos in the tank its mostly foolproof harmony all around. The angel caused most of the strain in the tank.

    My two year old angelfish is my baby. He has never hurt another fish, though he will chase one of our female bettas once in a while (they don't hurt each other, but they have an odd relationship. Tiger (the angel) never chases our other two female bettas in there, just her). Once in a while, Tiger has a fin torn or nipped and the most amazing thing about him is that he can heal it in two days flat, and you can't tell he was ever hurt. Tiger also acts visibly excited when he sees people - he has a food response, sure, but he has a unique way of saying "oh hey, you're home, I missed you!" Angelfish are, without question, my favorite fish species to keep.

  • @Sebideluxe
    @Sebideluxe 4 роки тому +5

    I agree with your list, however there is one thing that should be mentioned:
    55 Gallons are still too small for Angelfish, the tank should have a height of at least 60cm(~24 inches). 300l/~80 Gallons (100cmx60cmx50cm) are the lower limit, otherwise you'll experience puny growth sooner or later.
    Regards & Keep up the good work

    good upload except a few other experiences i have. 1) Keeping 5 or 6 angels is still a risk in a community tank, especially when a few angels grow out to be dominant males. I breed angels, and only promote to keep minimum 10 in a group to minimize risks. By consequence this is not a typical community fish for medium sized tanks. 2) Most and almost every barb can cause problems with fin nipping. I stopped breeding barbs only for that reason. I wanted to minimize possible problems for people getting barbs from me for their community tank. The only barb that is 100 % community tank save, is the little puntius tetrazone (not to be confused with the pentazona, or sumatra barb)... 3) tetra's are indeed a good choice but the rummynose tetra is in my opinion not hardy enough and lacks resistance in most community setups. They only do well for longer time in very clean and soft water with lower pH, and is therefore in my opinion not a (beginner) community fish to keep.

    I had 2 angel fish in a 125 gl tank with a some other fish. One back and one silver. We get a 15-19 y/o goldfish from a friend who couldn’t keep it anymore and the silver angel fish decided that it didn’t like that goldfish. Constantly beating on it. At that point the gold fish couldn’t swim very well and normally hung down at the bottom side of the tank where a gourami had made it’s territory. That Black angel fish- bless him would protect that gold fish. Eventually we had to take the solve angel out- it didn’t get back in until after the goldfish had died. Never had a problem with another fish again. It was really weird

    Danios are busy fish for sure but the yo-yo loach can definitely give them a run for their money. They are great in larger aquariums (mine are in a four foot tank) and they are great to watch. That really seem to enjoy swim up to the other fish and bumping them but they don’t seem to mind.

      I agree! Unfortunately, I got 2 Gouramis for a christmas present - as part of a community fish haul - both male - and I called them Laurel & Hardy, as Hardy is always picking on poor Laurel!
      I'm getting a larger tank at the end of the month, so I'll be seperating them then.

    In childhood, my group of pals started keeping fish. I wanted to follow. The bigger boys told me to get some other fish from what they have, nobody wants to see the same fish at every house they go to. So sadly, I looked for something different from the ones I saw they had and had admired so much. I found ZEBRA DANIOS !!......fast forward to adulthood and here I am, the only one of my friends who is still addicted to fish....and my tank must NEVER be without mu Zebras !.....so it seems that you were right about keeping Danios.

    The danio thing is true! When I started fish keeping my mom bought me a 10 gallon tank, and I decided to get 3 male guppies and 6 danios ik it was over stocked but I was a begginer. After some months i fell in love with the hobby and i've been it for 2 years now!

    The Skunk Botia Is a bigger spaz and is only second to the Yoyo Loach for being a total spaz all the time. I consider Danios to be very active and move around a lot. the Thing about the two fish I mentioned is they will be rummaging on the floor then just take off and fly around the tank for no reason at all. Try adding a new fish and that poor new fish has an instant BFF. 😂
