I lost a family member as a result of this tragic event. Often times, unfortunately, it takes a traumatizing experience to invoke life-saving changes to large corporations and industries, who believe they can do whatever they want at the expense of the common people.

I was on active duty when this happened but heard about it. I flew Pan Am a couple of times and liked the airline very much, it is too bad it went out of business. Thanks for another interesting, though tragic in this case, Louisiana story.
Thank you 🙏🏽
You are so welcome
When I was younger, a long time ago, I wanted to be a Pan Am stewardess! I lived in Lafayette at the time…so sad! 😢
It’s such a sad day
I was 7 years old and lived 4 blocks east of the crash. I remember it vividly.
It must’ve been terrifying
Mr Aaron Broussard was mayor of Jefferson Parish when this happened… he shared so many stories with me that was unbelievable for little ole Kenner!!!
Our son's flight landed 5 minutes before the Pan Am flight crashed. We didn't know his flight had landed when we heard about the crash. So relieved when we got the call that it wasn't his flight. Terribly sad for the families of the victims.
That must’ve been a stressful time
@@LouisianaDread It was!
I work at MSY for 10 years. Theres alot of old heads that are still there too and nobody brings up this event evere. Not even during the training to get your badge unless I slowt through it lol.
Wild that they won’t mention it. Seems like a subject that shouldn’t be forgotten.
@@LouisianaDread I agree. I live in Saint Rose which is about 6 miles from the old MSY airport. You'd think that such a tragic event would be talked about more often but it's not.
I thought about this accident the other day. I had been in Metairie visiting my daughter and we went through Kenner as we were headed to the airport and I was wondering what neighborhood it happened in.
That’s the one!
what’s with that little bubble on your left at the end screen?
That’s the Patreon logo just in psychedelic mode 😂
