Rather than playing Monet's cousin, why didn't the writers cast Golden Brooks as the sister that raised Zeke? I think that would have made much sense.

Nagier is right. Tariq thought Monet told Kate, who would’ve then told Tommy, where Tasha was. That is what led to him conspiring with Diana and Dru to kill Monet in the first place. So now that he knows it was actually Diana who gave up Tasha’s location, he’s tryna take her out. He’s just also upset that Dru and Diana snitched on him to Cane, even though nobody realizes that Tariq didn’t actually take the shot.
Diana and Dru do know Tariq didn’t do it but they don’t know who it really was.

I agree. They didn't need to kill that character off. He's not in the game. Innocent bystander. The writers should've wrote that scene better. It was dumb to write him fighting for the gun after the bitch comment.

The most concerning to me is Braydon’s life once Terique finds out he’s been stealing a little off the top just for his his girl to stay quiet about it all? Diana with all her not having any street smarts will most likely survive. While Dru displayed some smartness but no self control during adversity probably going to be his demise
The Tejada kids really showed out this ep. Cane in particular(Woody "The Great" indeed), with that scene with Dru. It reminded me of the first time we got to see real emotion from him back in season 1 when Dru got shot and classic Monet took not even an ounce of accountability before projecting all on Cane, with no compassion treating him more like a lackey than her own son. When he told her "you made me this way ma", it didn't even register to her. Yet that quote defines this very ep. All the monsters she's dealing with she had a heavy hand in creating, and sadly enough she is her own biggest one.
Honestly someone needs to make a collage of the top "Bring Me Spiderman" cops from this Universe because it is beyond elseworld levels of ridiculous at this point. You'd never see predators in the wild constantly going up to their prey to let them know that they are on their ass before actually eating them. The name St. Patrick should give cops all over NYC vertigo the minute they hear it.

They have changed up the whole storyline because it's the last season. When Lorenzo came out of jail he took over and Monet was submissive. Now all of the sudden in the backstory she was boss. It doesn’t make sense.

Why this show getting cancelled again?? This season has been full of good acting,more suspense and the writing is only slightly better in regards to making you care for and loathe eqch character at same time. Hope that Salim just got amnesia ...but if not hope to see him in more roles

Tariq went after Diana because she’s the one that came to him about taking out Monet and they had more of a personal relationship than he and dru did and despite all the times she’s crossed him he never thought that she would try to have him killed because he had Dru limping and bleeding in the first episode and if it wasn’t the fact that he crashed into him he probably would’ve killed dru

Tariq was going hard at Diana because he told Monae he didn’t shoot her getting rid of Drew and Diana. The fact that he was involved would’ve died with them and it also killed two birds with one stone because he had a bullet for Diana and dru anyway. Diana is a half smart chicken head and I use that reference for a reason. Drews thing is that at this point he’s suicidal I think he wanted to die by either his mother or his brother’s hands and that’s why he kept on pushing him. The fact that they didn’t kill him is going to come back to haunt them. There’s something going on with Carter. I don’t think he’s dealing drugs, but I definitely think he’s a dog with a bone once his focus set in One Direction. He’s not going to waiver from that direction and that’s what’s going to make him such a formidable opponent. When you have a cop like that, you have to realize that his goal is his goal. The other people around that I’m pretty sure he feels like he can get them at any time but Paz put him on Tariq until a connection to Zion is formed. He’s not going to turn his head in any other direction. Lucas you hit the nail on the head people will say it’s sloppy writing but the writers on the show have always stayed true to each of the characters personality traits and for Carter’s character it makes sense that he doesn’t lose focus that’s why he’s so effective he doesn’t get caught up trying to fight too many battles at once he just sticks to what’s in front of him ghost used to do the same thing. The difference was there was no emotion behind that focus so James could alter things in his side view. Tariq went after Diana Because Diane is the one that would be able to talk her way out of it and spend a story that was believable. Keep in mind Tariq and Dru dont have a lot of dealings with each other so the logical thing to do would be go after the person who you know more about first. Also, the video only showed Diana if it’s me I’m knocking off Diana first because she is the biggest threat because of her naivety. Don’t forget Salim is not his real name. Diane knew that but I doubt she told Tariq. when it comes to Effie, she’s kind of on the outs everywhere she’s going except for with Noma. She’s done with Kane because he’s messing around with. She tried to kill Tariq so he’s not gonna just go to her like his girl anymore. I do like that. She see that they are tied together though, Tariq does it have the same energy towards Effie though because of all of the stuff she’s done in the past and also because regardless of everything that happened he’s never done anything to hurt Effie because he really does love her and at the end of the day she has no dog in that fight is smart enough to know that as long as Effie isn’t affected, she’s not going to snake him. It’s only when her heart is on the line or future is in jeopardy that she’s not straightforward and real with him. Was killing saleim a mistake yes but we have to remember Salim went for the gun in that situation what else could be done ?
