That was a well written and narrated story. Had the hairs on the back of my neck stirring and that hasn't happened whilst reading a story for a long time. Abit like the genie being let out of the bottle, how do you get it back in. Very well done.

The narration was human for only the opening 15-20 seconds. The channel switched to TTS screen reader after that, using a vocaloid-type synth of the human's voice (basically deepfake tech). You can see this in script typos being read out where a human wouldn't, as with 0:50-0:53 ""...little things, that what gets you...", or mispronunciations that most certainly aren't regional dialect as with "freighter" being called "frighter" at 1:18.

@@levilandes1719 You've never paid attention to deepfake tech, apparently, nor did you pay attention to what I said. I can't guarantee that it's TTS throughout (and I do have to admit that it might actually be human-read entirely, though I doubt it), though I do think that she was reading in the beginning 15-20 seconds (though there are programs that can be used to give that appearance, too). Read what I said bout the timestamps 0:50-0:53 ""...little things, that what gets you...", or mispronunciations that most certainly aren't regional dialect as with "freighter" being called "frighter" at 1:18 (this latter would fit with some British accents, but she's not British by a long shot).

If I’ve learned anything from Void travel it’s simply this,… always be certain that the ship’s Geller Field is operational. Warhammer 40K taught me that, the movie “Event Horizon” reinforces it. An interesting take,… I liked it. 👍🏻👍🏻

Fun story, reminding me some of WH40K's "The flight of the Eisenstein" (which was funny when "Eisenstein coils" came up in the text at 19:09-19:10, though the audio said "Einstein", making me think that maybe it really was read by a human and not TTS screen reader, unless [unlikely though this might be] perhaps the shown video-text differs [which happened a few times here] from the TTS text [based upon "freighter" being pronounced as "frighter", and "scraping" being pronounced as "scrapping", among other things, though some other mistakes of skipped words or sudden repeats could simply have been editing], and possibly with the error being intentional for the usual purpose of verisimilitude as with college students and GPT-written papers [though I really do think that the story itself feels human-written]). Reminds me a bit of Niven's hyperspatial "blind spot" and Lane's and Foster's "Netherspace", for that matter: way cool, either way.

Then the madness spread, the calculations were based on previous insanity maps. The pale was in full motion, it's chaos having no limit, it's envelope in the void expanding exponentially. The galaxy was vast, millions of light years across but the captain and the crew who now welcomed the madness realized they had let off a weapon that had no off button, no enemies, no control, no limit. It's destruction was intelligent life in all its forms, it was the panic of seeing the chaos coming but having no escape. The wave kept expanding and there was no shelter but to flee ahead at ever faster but futile speed. Their enemies were gone, what remained was toxic space devoid of ever repairing. The longer the tear remained open , the stronger the impact. World's and then star systems went dark in months then weeks, then days then instantly with just a shout indicating attack and a plea for help. Warnings to all went ahead of the madness. Warnings to all light years away knowing it was too late for their world for their civilisation. There was no mercy or fight or attack. Some worlds just sent a last message on ark crafts. Some sent DNA and seed crafts hoping their species might escape or not be damaged, beyond rescue. Only if the fire burnt out or a race was immune or the effect dampened after passing , but like stars imploding, the lights of intelligence gradually went silent. The fear of it spreading like a space born virus meant mercy of those fleeing, even galactic friends was too risky even if the wave arrived anyway. Like the terran nuclear scientists, they opened the Pandora's box and it could not be close. Was fire still able to burn? There was no answer from the silence left behind. The ultimate weapon disguised as a wonderful gift. As his crew saw their species and world's end, they just opened airlocks or pleaded for a merciful end to their sorrow. He turned to the spies who pulled the switch and saw the ultimate horror of their hubris. " It should have worked, it did work, we were wrong" .The captain in his last breath turned off their life support. "You won the war but there is no winner. You fools , you did it, you really did it, damn you to hell, damn you all to hell"

That made me think about the "dimesion lowering weapon" from the Remembrance of Earth's Past trilogy. On the book the universe had initially a lot more dimensions then the 3 we know but that weapon would lower the dimension number of an area by 1, so a 4 dimensional item would became a 3 dimensional one, a 3D region would became 2D etc, but since it was not created as 2d it would be destroyed. Nothing could survive the weapon and also nothing could stop it once activaded, the lower dimensional bubble just kept expanding and the only protection was outrun it on a FTL ship. It was obvious that give enough time such weapon would consume the entire universe, people used it anyway, again and again until the end...

Im talking to the reader. Are you writing the stories you read? I listened to a story you read last night, your reading was excellect. The problem is the Story, Did you write it? Did an ai, or someone else? Either way, I really enjoyed your ability to read, you are awesome, (get rid of the Hog ring, its not appropriate for a FREE HUMAN)

What a terrible word salad. Piles and piles of words apparently used just for the sake of using words. Not to tell a coherent story -- just to toss out words. Nothing about this story makes any sense, and there is no definable conclusion. I admit that I listened until the end -- but not because it was a good story. As a long-time editor, I basically had to hear the whole thing so I could know just how truly bad it really was. And it was truly bad.
