Nailah in Tears After El Dorado Secondary Performs Iron Love

- El Dorado East Secondary School's performance of "Iron Love" at this year's School's Panorama competition brought tears to Nailah Blackman's eyes. Nailah was at this year's School's Panorama competition since many primary and secondary school bands chose her song "Iron Love" for their panorama piece.
This performance earned the school placed second place. Only one point separated them from the winning school steelband, Naparima Girls & Boys College.
I was the iron Man in that performance and honestly I will never ever forget that day. Thx everyone for your support
don't let them break y'all dud.e there is no way another band beat y'all trust me, i was there, i have been involved in pan for years this is simply amazing, it was by far one of the best arrangements i have heard in years, at both juniors and seniors, the ending was the most creative i have ever heard after Clive Bradely's ending of Toco Band for Nutones.

I don't know why I'm crying. It really was an amazing job..well arranged and executed...
My daughter play tenor, i was sooo proud I screamed until I couldn't any more! 1 point separated them from 1st place! Those children worked really hard. The arrangement is the best I've heard in a long time! The delivery was smooth and that music was sweet! ❤❤❤❤❤❤

The youths performed their TAILS OFF! ALL of them...each one. They gave me hope that the saying "pan is in good hands" isn't a cliche...but a reality in progress. So much enthusiasm and the fresh performances were something all pan men & women can learn from. I say--- THANK YOU!!
I am so happy they are teaching the youngsters our culture is alive and well, but I must say I wish I had the opportunity during my school years in TNT to learn to beat pan.🇹🇹🇹🇹🇹🇹🇹🇹
@@beverlywight7158 You can learn RIGHT NOW you know🙄 lol. I didn't learn when I was younger either. However, on my off days from work (or after ), even if for a couple mins I learned--- slowly but surely I made my way. If u LOVE something, trust me...there's time darling😊

Soaring & vibrant version. Intricate, balanced and futher moving than a Large Band's efforts with the same song. While most others have made futile attempts, El Dorado Secondary brought this composition to life, adding unexpected playfulness then rising to its crescendo, rendering some listeners to stream tears of joy, inspiration among other emotions. Superb. Crime and the downfall of Trinidad's youth is highlighted far too often, the El Dorado Secondary band is clearly talented and skilled, for the limited resources and time playing the instruments, on this day, this steeldrum band nears orchestral excellence. (and moved me in my car in traffic while driving to work in Toronto... )

Watched this again for the nth time , can't help but also think back to a few years ago when El Do blue and El Do brown were making news for the wrong reasons, this is so uplifting. They are proud of themselves and clearly know they have done a good job. Let's hope that the detractors of the pan in schools project throw their support behind it
